교회소개(6: )그들이 하늘의 하나님께 (향기로운 제물)을 드려 왕과 왕자들의 생명을 위하여 기도하게 하라
so that they may offer (sacrifices pleasing) to the God of heaven and pray for the well-being of the king and his sons.
(6: )즐거움으로 이레 동안 무교절을 지켰으니 이는 여호와께서 그들을 즐겁게 하시고 또 앗수르 왕의 마음을 그들에게로 돌려 이스라엘의 하나님이신 (하나님의 성전 건축하는) 손을 힘 있게 하도록 하셨음이었더라
For seven days they celebrated with joy the Feast of Unleavened Bread, because the LORD had filled them with joy by changing the attitude of the king of Assyria, so that he assisted them (in the work on the house of God), the God of Israel.
(7: )이 에스라가 바벨론에서 올라왔으니 그는 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 주신 (모세의 율법에 익숙한 학자)로서 그의 하나님 여호와의 도우심을 입음으로 왕에게 구하는 것은 다 받는 자이더니
this Ezra came up from Babylon. He was (a teacher well versed in the Law of Moses), which the LORD, the God of Israel, had given. The king had granted him everything he asked, for the hand of the LORD his God was on him.
(7: )에스라여 너는 네 손에 있는 네 하나님의 지혜를 따라 (네 하나님의 율법을 아는 자)를 법관과 재판관을 삼아 강 건너편 모든 백성을 재판하게 하고 그 중 알지 못하는 자는 너희가 가르치라
And you, Ezra, in accordance with the wisdom of your God, which you possess, appoint magistrates and judges to administer justice to all the people of Trans-Euphrates--(all who know the laws of your God). And you are to teach any who do not know them.
(8: )(우리 하나님의 선한 손의 도우심)을 입고 그들이 이스라엘의 손자 레위의 아들 말리의 자손 중에서 한 명철한 사람을 데려오고 또 세레뱌와 그의 아들들과 형제 십팔 명과
Because (the gracious hand of our God) was on us, they brought us Sherebiah, a capable man, from the descendants of Mahli son of Levi, the son of Israel, and Sherebiah's sons and brothers, 18 men;
(9: )말하기를 나의 하나님이여 (내가 부끄럽고 낯이 뜨거워서) 감히 나의 하나님을 향하여 얼굴을 들지 못하오니 이는 우리 죄악이 많아 정수리에 넘치고 우리 허물이 커서 하늘에 미침이니이다
and prayed: "O my God, I am (too ashamed and disgraced) to lift up my face to you, my God, because our sins are higher than our heads and our guilt has reached to the heavens.
(10: )곧 내 주의 교훈을 따르며 (우리 하나님의 명령을 떨며 준행하는 자)의 가르침을 따라 이 모든 아내와 그들의 소생을 다 내보내기로 우리 하나님과 언약을 세우고 율법대로 행할 것이라
Now let us make a covenant before our God to send away all these women and their children, in accordance with the counsel of my lord and of those (who fear the commands of our God). Let it be done according to the Law.
