골로새서 Colossians 1:11-20
우리는 살아가면서 감사할 이유가 많을 때가 있습니다.
There are many times in life when we have reasons to give thanks.
그러나 어떤 날은 감사가 쉽게 떠오르지 않습니다.
But on some days, gratitude does not come easily.
상황이 좋을 때는 감사가 자연스럽습니다.
When circumstances are good, gratitude feels natural.
형편이 어려울 때는 감사가 부담스럽습니다.
When life is hard, giving thanks can feel burdensome.
마음이 무거울 때는 감사의 말조차 힘들 때가 있습니다.
When our hearts are heavy, even speaking words of thanks can be difficult.
바울의 편지는 우리의 마음을 이해합니다.
Paul’s letter understands the condition of our hearts.
바울은 감옥에 있었습니다.
Paul was in prison.
그러나 그는 환경을 넘었습니다.
Yet he rose above his circumstances.
바울은 하나님이 이미 주신 은혜를 붙들었습니다.
He held firmly to the grace God had already given.
그리고 그는 그 자리에서 감사했습니다.
And in that place, he gave thanks.
바울은 감사의 근거를 보여 줍니다.
Paul shows us the true basis of thanksgiving.
그 근거는 눈에 보이는 조건이 아닙니다.
The basis is not what we can see.
그 근거는 상황의 변화도 아닙니다.
Nor is it a change in our situation.
그 근거는 그리스도 안에서 이미 이루어진 구원입니다.
The basis is the salvation already accomplished in Christ.
은혜는 변하지 않습니다.
Grace does not change.
그렇다면 우리는 무엇을 감사의 이유로 붙들어야 할까요?
So what should we hold onto as the reason for our thanksgiving?
우리는 어떤 은혜를 받았기에 지금 이 자리에서 감사할 수 있을까요?
What grace have we received that enables us to give thanks even today?
1. 하나님께서 우리를 성도의 기업으로 부르신 것에 감사해야 합니다.(11-12)
We must give thanks because God has called us into the inheritance of the saints.
먼저 성도의 기업의 의미를 살펴보겠습니다.
First, let us consider the meaning of the inheritance of the saints.
골로새서 1장 12절의 성도의 기업은 하나님 나라의 백성으로 살아가는 신분을 말합니다.
Colossians 1:12 teaches that this inheritance is the identity of living as citizens of God’s kingdom.
기업은 땅이 아닙니다.
The inheritance is not land.
기업은 보상이 아닙니다.
The inheritance is not a reward.
기업은 하나님과 함께 사는 삶입니다.
The inheritance is a life lived with God.
기업은 하나님을 왕으로 모시고 그분의 다스림 아래 사는 자리입니다.
The inheritance is the position of living under God’s reign as our King.
레위인은 땅을 받지 않았습니다.
The Levites did not receive land.
레위인은 하나님을 기업으로 받았습니다.
The Levites received God Himself as their inheritance.
시편도 말합니다.
The Psalms also declare this.
여호와는 우리의 분깃입니다.
“The Lord is my portion.”
기업은 하나님을 소유하는 삶입니다.
The inheritance is a life that possesses God.
기업은 하나님 나라 백성의 신분입니다.
The inheritance is the identity of belonging to God’s kingdom.
이 신분은 우리의 능력 때문이 아닙니다.
This identity is not the result of our ability.
이 신분은 하나님의 은혜로 주어졌습니다.
This identity is given purely by God’s grace.
정리하면 성도의 기업은 하나님이 우리를 그분의 나라에 받아주신 은혜입니다.
In summary, the inheritance of the saints is the grace by which God receives us into His kingdom.
이제 우리가 감사해야 하는 이유를 살펴보겠습니다.
Now let us consider why we must give thanks.
첫째, 하나님이 우리의 왕이 되셨기 때문입니다.
First, because God has become our King.
하나님의 통치는 흔들리지 않습니다.
God’s rule does not shake.
세상은 흔들립니다.
The world shakes.
그러나 하나님은 흔들리지 않습니다.
But God does not shake.
그래서 우리는 안정과 보호를 누립니다.
Therefore we enjoy stability and protection.
하나님이 우리의 주인이시기에 감사할 수 있습니다.
We can give thanks because God is our Lord.
둘째, 하나님은 우리를 어둠에서 빛으로 옮기셨습니다.
Second, God has moved us from darkness into light.
우리는 어둠의 가치관에서 벗어났습니다.
We have left behind the values of darkness.
우리는 어둠의 습관에서 벗어났습니다.
We have left behind the habits of darkness.
우리는 어둠의 두려움에서도 벗어났습니다.
We have also left behind the fears of darkness.
우리는 이제 빛의 사람입니다.
We are now people of the light.
이 변화가 큰 감사의 이유입니다.
This transformation is a great reason for thanksgiving.
셋째, 우리는 하나님의 약속 안에서 삽니다.
Third, we live within God’s promise.
하나님은 우리를 인도하십니다.
God leads us.
하나님은 우리에게 공급하십니다.
God provides for us.
하나님은 우리 삶을 책임지십니다.
God takes responsibility for our lives.
미래가 불안해도 약속은 흔들리지 않습니다.
Even when the future feels uncertain, His promise does not shake.
그래서 우리는 감사할 수 있습니다.
Therefore we can give thanks.
넷째, 성도의 기업은 이미 시작되었습니다.
Fourth, the inheritance of the saints has already begun.
그리고 앞으로 완성될 것입니다.
And it will one day be completed.
오늘도 감사할 이유가 있고,
We have reasons to give thanks today,
내일도 감사할 이유가 있습니다.
And we will have reasons to give thanks tomorrow.
하나님이 주신 기업은 우리에게 어떤 변화를 줄까요?
What changes does God’s inheritance bring to us?
성도의 기업은 우리의 정체성을 새롭게 합니다.
The inheritance of the saints renews our identity.
우리는 종종 자신을 하찮게 여깁니다.
We often think lightly of ourselves.
우리는 실패를 보며 자신을 낮춥니다.
We lower ourselves when we look at our failures.
그러나 하나님은 우리를 그분의 백성이라 부르십니다.
But God calls us His people.
이 부르심은 우리의 마음을 세웁니다.
This calling strengthens our hearts.
우리는 하나님께 귀한 사람입니다.
We are precious to God.
성도의 기업은 우리의 불안을 잠잠하게 합니다.
The inheritance of the saints quiets our anxiety.
우리가 모든 것을 책임지려 할 때 두려움이 커집니다.
Fear grows when we try to carry everything ourselves.
그러나 하나님이 왕이십니다.
But God is King.
하나님이 우리의 삶을 지키십니다.
God watches over our lives.
이 사실은 우리의 마음을 쉬게 합니다.
This truth gives rest to our hearts.
설교자도 쉽니다.
The preacher rests.
회중도 쉽니다.
The congregation rests.
성도의 기업은 삶의 방향을 바로잡습니다.
The inheritance of the saints straightens the direction of our lives.
빛 가운데 살면 길이 보입니다.
When we live in the light, the path becomes clear.
해야 할 일이 보입니다.
We see what must be done.
내려놓을 것도 보입니다.
We see what must be laid down.
우선순위가 정리됩니다.
Our priorities are reordered.
삶이 단순해집니다.
Life becomes simpler.
삶이 가벼워집니다.
Life becomes lighter.
이것이 하나님의 치유입니다.
This is God’s healing.
성도의 기업은 미래의 두려움을 이깁니다.
The inheritance of the saints conquers the fear of the future.
우리는 내일을 알지 못합니다.
We do not know tomorrow.
그러나 하나님은 알고 계십니다.
But God knows it fully.
하나님의 약속은 변하지 않습니다.
God’s promise does not change.
약속의 기업은 이미 시작되었고 완성될 것입니다.
The promised inheritance has already begun and will be completed.
이 소망은 우리의 마음을 강하게 합니다.
This hope strengthens our hearts.
정리하면 성도의 기업은 우리의 신분을 세우는 은혜입니다.
In summary, the inheritance of the saints is the grace that builds our identity.
성도의 기업은 우리의 마음을 안정시키는 은혜입니다.
It is the grace that stabilizes our hearts.
성도의 기업은 삶의 길을 보여주는 은혜입니다.
It is the grace that shows the path of life.
성도의 기업은 미래에 소망을 주는 은혜입니다.
It is the grace that gives hope for the future.
그래서 우리는 성도의 기업으로 부르신 하나님께 감사해야 합니다.
Therefore, we must give thanks to God who has called us into this inheritance.
2. 하나님께서 우리에게 죄사함의 은혜를 주신 것에 감사해야 합니다.(13-14)
We must give thanks because God has given us the grace of forgiveness.
먼저 죄사함의 의미를 살펴보겠습니다.
First, let us consider the meaning of forgiveness.
죄사함은 단순한 사면이 아닙니다.
Forgiveness is not merely a pardon.
죄사함은 존재의 이동입니다.
Forgiveness is the movement of our very being.
하나님은 우리를 흑암에서 건져내셨습니다.
God has rescued us from the domain of darkness.
하나님은 우리를 아들의 나라로 옮기셨습니다.
God has transferred us into the kingdom of His Son.
우리는 죄의 종이 아닙니다.
We are no longer slaves to sin.
우리는 하나님의 자녀입니다.
We are children of God.
우리는 두려움의 자리가 아니라 자유의 자리에 있습니다.
We stand not in fear but in freedom.
죄사함은 하나님과의 관계가 회복되는 은혜입니다.
Forgiveness is the grace that restores our relationship with God.
죄사함은 삶의 주인이 바뀌는 은혜입니다.
Forgiveness is the grace that changes the ownership of our lives.
죄사함은 새로운 시작을 열어 주는 은혜입니다.
Forgiveness is the grace that opens the door to a new beginning.
이제 우리가 감사해야 하는 이유를 살펴보겠습니다.
Now let us consider why we should give thanks.
첫째, 죄사함은 정죄에서 해방되는 은혜입니다.
First, forgiveness is the grace that frees us from condemnation.
죄는 우리를 숨게 합니다.
Sin makes us hide.
죄는 우리를 움츠리게 합니다.
Sin makes us shrink back.
죄는 우리를 자기 정죄에 가둡니다.
Sin traps us in self-condemnation.
그러나 하나님은 우리의 죄를 기억하지 않으십니다.
But God remembers our sins no more.
이 은혜는 큰 감사의 이유입니다.
This grace is a great reason for thanksgiving.
둘째, 죄사함은 하나님께 나아갈 길을 열어 줍니다.
Second, forgiveness opens the way for us to come to God.
멀리 있던 우리가 가까워졌습니다.
We who were far have been brought near.
두려워하던 우리가 담대해졌습니다.
We who feared have become bold.
우리는 하나님 앞에 나아갈 수 있습니다.
We can now approach God.
이것이 감사입니다.
This is true thanksgiving.
셋째, 죄사함은 새로운 삶을 시작하게 합니다.
Third, forgiveness allows us to begin a new life.
과거는 우리를 붙잡지 못합니다.
The past can no longer hold us.
상처와 실패도 우리를 묶지 못합니다.
Wounds and failures cannot bind us.
하나님은 우리를 새 피조물로 부르십니다.
God calls us new creations.
새 길을 걷도록 초대하십니다.
He invites us to walk a new path.
이 새로운 시작이 감사의 이유입니다.
This new beginning is a reason for thanksgiving.
넷째, 죄사함은 마음의 짐을 덜어 줍니다.
Fourth, forgiveness lifts the burdens of the heart.
수치심의 짐이 내려갑니다.
The burden of shame falls away.
죄책감의 짐도 사라집니다.
The burden of guilt disappears.
하나님이 들어 주시는 짐입니다.
These are burdens God Himself lifts.
이 은혜는 삶을 가볍게 합니다.
This grace lightens our lives.
감사는 자연스럽게 흘러나옵니다.
Thanksgiving naturally flows.
이제 죄사함이 가져오는 치유를 살펴보겠습니다.
Now let us look at the healing that forgiveness brings.
죄사함은 자기 정죄를 치유합니다.
Forgiveness heals self-condemnation.
우리는 때로 스스로를 비난하며 살아갑니다.
At times, we live blaming ourselves.
과거를 붙잡고 자신을 낮춥니다.
We hold on to the past and lower ourselves.
그러나 하나님은 우리의 죄를 기억하지 않으십니다.
But God remembers our sins no more.
이 사실은 우리의 내면을 회복시킵니다.
This truth restores our inner being.
설교자도 회복됩니다.
The preacher is restored.
회중도 회복됩니다.
The congregation is restored.
죄사함은 죄책감에 눌린 삶을 자유롭게 합니다.
Forgiveness frees a life weighed down by guilt.
숨던 삶이 드러나는 삶으로 바뀝니다.
A hiding life becomes a life that can stand open.
두려워하던 사람이 하나님 앞에 서기 시작합니다.
A fearful person begins to stand before God.
이 자유가 치유입니다.
This freedom is healing.
죄사함은 반복되던 죄의 사슬을 끊습니다.
Forgiveness breaks the chains of repeated sin.
파괴적 패턴이 끊어집니다.
Destructive patterns are broken.
새 마음이 주어지고 새 영이 주어집니다.
A new heart and a new spirit are given.
우리는 다른 길을 선택할 힘을 얻습니다.
We gain the strength to choose a different path.
이 변화가 치유입니다.
This change is healing.
죄사함은 관계를 회복합니다.
Forgiveness restores relationships.
서로를 용서할 힘이 생깁니다.
It gives us the strength to forgive one another.
사과할 용기도 생깁니다.
It gives us the courage to say, “I’m sorry.”
멀어진 관계가 다시 이어집니다.
Distant relationships are reconnected.
가정과 공동체에 치유가 시작됩니다.
Healing begins in families and in the community.
무엇보다 죄사함은 하나님과의 관계를 다시 여십니다.
Above all, forgiveness reopens our relationship with God.
하나님과의 친밀함은 모든 치유의 근원입니다.
Intimacy with God is the source of all healing.
이 관계가 열리면 삶 전체가 달라집니다.
When this relationship opens, the whole life changes.
우리 모두에게 이 은혜가 필요합니다.
We all need this grace.
그리고 이 은혜가 이미 주어졌습니다.
And this grace has already been given.
정리하면, 죄사함의 은혜는 우리를 정죄에서 해방시킵니다.
In summary, the grace of forgiveness frees us from condemnation.
죄사함의 은혜는 우리를 하나님께 가까이 나아가게 합니다.
It brings us near to God.
죄사함의 은혜는 새로운 삶을 열어 줍니다.
It opens a new life for us.
죄사함의 은혜는 우리의 마음을 치유합니다.
It heals our hearts.
죄사함의 은혜는 우리의 관계를 치유합니다.
It heals our relationships.
그래서 우리는 죄사함의 은혜에 감사해야 합니다.
Therefore, we must give thanks for the grace of forgiveness.
3. 하나님께서 만물을 화평하게 하신 은혜에 감사해야 합니다.(15-20)
We must give thanks because God has reconciled all things.
먼저 화평의 의미를 살펴보겠습니다.
First, let us consider the meaning of peace.
골로새서 1장 20절은 하나님이 십자가의 피로 화평을 이루셨다고 말합니다.
Colossians 1:20 says that God made peace through the blood of the cross.
화평은 단순한 휴전이 아닙니다.
Peace is not a mere ceasefire.
화평은 단순한 감정의 안정도 아닙니다.
Peace is not simply emotional calm.
화평은 관계의 회복입니다.
Peace is the restoration of relationship.
화평은 질서의 회복입니다.
Peace is the restoration of order.
화평은 마음과 가정과 세상의 회복입니다.
Peace is the restoration of hearts, homes, and the world.
십자가는 하나님과의 단절을 풀었습니다.
The cross removed the separation between us and God.
십자가는 무너진 세계의 질서를 바로잡았습니다.
The cross set right the broken order of the world.
십자가는 모든 회복의 중심입니다.
The cross is the center of all restoration.
정리하면 화평은 하나님과 다시 연결되는 은혜입니다.
In summary, peace is the grace that reconnects us to God.
이제 감사해야 하는 이유를 살펴보겠습니다.
Now let us consider why we must give thanks.
첫째, 화평은 우리의 마음을 지켜 줍니다.
First, peace guards our hearts.
예수님은 세상이 줄 수 없는 평안을 주십니다.
Jesus gives a peace the world cannot give.
세상의 평안은 흔들립니다.
The world’s peace is unstable.
하나님의 평안은 흔들리지 않습니다.
God’s peace does not shake.
이 평안이 우리를 붙잡습니다.
This peace holds us.
우리의 마음이 다시 살아납니다.
Our hearts come alive again.
그래서 감사할 수 있습니다.
Therefore, we can give thanks.
둘째, 화평은 관계를 회복하게 합니다.
Second, peace restores relationships.
사람은 상처 때문에 멀어집니다.
People grow distant because of wounds.
감정 때문에 벽이 생깁니다.
Walls rise because of emotions.
그러나 십자가는 막힌 담을 허십니다.
But the cross breaks down the dividing wall.
화해의 길을 여십니다.
It opens the way of reconciliation.
용서할 힘을 주십니다.
It gives us the strength to forgive.
이 은혜가 감사의 이유입니다.
This grace is reason for thanksgiving.
셋째, 화평은 공동체를 하나로 묶습니다.
Third, peace binds the community together.
사람은 다릅니다.
People are different.
성격도 다르고 배경도 다릅니다.
Personalities and backgrounds differ.
그러나 성령은 우리를 하나로 만드십니다.
But the Spirit makes us one.
서로를 이해하게 하시고 기다리게 하십니다.
He helps us understand and wait for one another.
그래서 교회는 하나의 몸이 됩니다.
Thus the church becomes one body.
이 은혜가 감사입니다.
This grace is our thanksgiving.
넷째, 화평은 창조 세계의 회복을 약속합니다.
Fourth, peace promises the restoration of creation.
피조물은 탄식합니다.
Creation groans.
세상은 분열과 파괴로 신음합니다.
The world suffers from division and destruction.
그러나 하나님은 회복을 약속하셨습니다.
But God has promised restoration.
자연도 회복되고 질서도 회복될 것입니다.
Nature will be healed, and order will be restored.
이 소망이 감사입니다.
This hope is thanksgiving.
다섯째, 화평은 마지막 날의 완전한 평화를 보장합니다.
Fifth, peace guarantees complete peace on the last day.
새 하늘과 새 땅에서 눈물이 사라집니다.
In the new heaven and new earth, tears will disappear.
죽음과 고통도 사라집니다.
Death and pain will end.
완전한 평화가 이루어집니다.
Perfect peace will come.
우리의 마지막은 평안입니다.
Our end is peace.
그래서 감사할 수 있습니다.
Therefore, we can give thanks.
이제 화평의 은혜가 주는 치유를 살펴보겠습니다.
Let us now look at the healing that the grace of peace brings.
화평은 불안한 마음을 치유합니다.
Peace heals an anxious heart.
우리는 많은 일에 흔들립니다.
We are shaken by many things.
걱정에 잠 못 이룰 때도 있습니다.
Sometimes worry keeps us awake.
그러나 하나님의 평안이 오면 마음이 잠잠해집니다.
But when God’s peace comes, the heart becomes still.
이 평안은 설교자에게도 필요합니다.
This peace is needed by the preacher.
회중에게도 필요합니다.
It is needed by the congregation.
하나님은 그 평안을 주십니다.
And God gives this peace.
화평은 상한 관계를 치유합니다.
Peace heals broken relationships.
미움은 마음을 병들게 합니다.
Hatred sickens the heart.
상처는 관계를 멀어지게 합니다.
Wounds push relationships apart.
그러나 하나님은 용서를 주십니다.
But God gives forgiveness.
화해의 용기를 주십니다.
He gives the courage to reconcile.
서로를 다시 바라보게 하십니다.
He helps us look at one another again.
이 치유는 우리의 삶을 회복시킵니다.
This healing restores our lives.
화평은 공동체의 상처도 치유합니다.
Peace heals the wounds of a community.
갈등은 언제든 생길 수 있습니다.
Conflicts can arise at any time.
그러나 하나님은 하나 되게 하십니다.
But God makes us one.
성령은 서로를 붙잡게 하십니다.
The Spirit helps us hold on to one another.
공동체가 다시 건강하게 세워집니다.
The community is rebuilt in health.
이것이 화평의 치유입니다.
This is the healing of peace.
화평은 삶의 질서를 회복합니다.
Peace restores the order of life.
평안이 오면 판단이 바르게 됩니다.
When peace comes, judgment becomes clear.
마음이 고요해지면 길이 보입니다.
When the heart becomes calm, the path becomes visible.
우선순위가 정리됩니다.
Priorities become aligned.
삶이 단순해집니다.
Life becomes simple.
이 변화가 치유입니다.
This change is healing.
화평은 미래에 대한 두려움을 치유합니다.
Peace heals fear of the future.
우리는 내일을 알지 못합니다.
We do not know tomorrow.
그러나 하나님은 알고 계십니다.
But God knows.
미래는 하나님의 손에 있습니다.
The future is in God’s hands.
마지막은 생명이고 평안입니다.
The end is life and peace.
이 확신이 우리의 마음을 붙잡습니다.
This assurance holds our hearts.
정리하면 화평의 은혜는 우리의 마음을 치유합니다.
In summary, the grace of peace heals our hearts.
화평의 은혜는 우리의 관계를 치유합니다.
It heals our relationships.
화평의 은혜는 공동체를 세웁니다.
It strengthens our community.
화평의 은혜는 삶의 질서를 회복시킵니다.
It restores the order of our lives.
화평의 은혜는 우리의 미래를 소망으로 채웁니다.
It fills our future with hope.
그래서 우리는 하나님이 십자가로 화평을 이루신 것에 감사해야 합니다.
Therefore, we must give thanks that God has made peace through the cross.
결론: 감사해야 할 이유는 오직 은혜입니다.
Conclusion: The only reason we can give thanks is grace.
오늘 우리는 하나님께서 우리에게 주신 세 가지 은혜를 살펴보았습니다.
Today we have looked at three gifts of grace that God has given us.
첫째, 하나님은 우리를 성도의 기업으로 부르셨습니다.
First, God has called us into the inheritance of the saints.
우리는 더 이상 어둠의 사람이 아닙니다.
We are no longer people of darkness.
우리는 하나님의 백성입니다.
We are God’s people.
하나님과 함께 사는 삶이 우리의 기업입니다.
A life lived with God is our inheritance.
둘째, 하나님은 우리에게 죄사함의 은혜를 주셨습니다.
Second, God has given us the grace of forgiveness.
과거는 우리를 묶지 못합니다.
The past can no longer bind us.
정죄도, 두려움도, 수치도 우리를 붙잡지 못합니다.
Condemnation, fear, and shame cannot hold us.
우리는 용서받은 사람입니다.
We are forgiven people.
우리는 새롭게 시작하는 사람입니다.
We are people who begin anew.
셋째, 하나님은 십자가로 만물을 화평하게 하셨습니다.
Third, God has reconciled all things through the cross.
우리의 마음은 평안을 얻습니다.
Our hearts receive peace.
관계는 회복의 길을 찾습니다.
Our relationships find the path of restoration.
공동체는 하나가 됩니다.
The community becomes one.
미래는 소망으로 열립니다.
The future opens in hope.
이 은혜들은 환경에 따라 흔들리지 않습니다.
These graces do not shake with circumstances.
이 은혜들은 상황이 바뀌어도 사라지지 않습니다.
These graces do not disappear when situations change.
이 은혜들은 이미 우리에게 주어졌습니다.
These graces have already been given to us.
그래서 우리는 감사할 수 있습니다.
Therefore, we can give thanks.
상황이 아니라 은혜 때문에 감사하고,
We give thanks not because of circumstances but because of grace,
조건이 아니라 하나님 때문에 감사하고,
not because of conditions but because of God,
눈에 보이는 것이 아니라 십자가를 바라보며 감사할 수 있습니다.
and not because of what is seen but because we look to the cross.
오늘도 감사할 이유가 충분합니다.
There is enough reason to give thanks today.
내일도 감사할 이유는 더 많습니다.
There will be even more reasons tomorrow.
하나님이 우리에게 주신 은혜가 변하지 않기 때문입니다.
Because the grace God has given us never changes.
우리 모두 이 은혜 위에 굳게 서기를 바랍니다.
May we all stand firmly on this grace.
그리고 이 은혜로 감사하며 살아가기를 축복합니다.
And may we live with thanksgiving through this grace.
