자녀를 사랑으로 품는 어머니
John 요한복음 14:15–31
As we live our lives, there are times when simply knowing someone is beside us gives us great strength.
우리는 살아가면서 누군가 곁에 있다는 사실만으로도 큰 힘을 얻을 때가 있습니다.
A mother’s love especially does not easily give up on her children, but embraces them when they are afraid and helps them rise again when they fall.
특히 어머니의 사랑은 자녀를 쉽게 포기하지 않고, 두려워할 때 안아 주며, 넘어질 때 다시 일으켜 세워줍니다.
Before going to the cross, Jesus promised the Holy Spirit to His anxious and fearful disciples.
예수님은 십자가를 앞두고 불안해하는 제자들에게 성령님을 약속하셨습니다.
The Holy Spirit does not leave us as orphans, but teaches us to live in love and gives peace to our troubled hearts.
성령님은 우리를 고아처럼 버려두지 않으시고, 사랑 안에서 말씀을 배우게 하시며, 흔들리는 마음에 평안을 주시는 분이십니다.
Through today’s message, may we hold on to the grace of the Holy Spirit who embraces us with love.
오늘 말씀을 통해 우리를 사랑으로 품으시는 성령님의 은혜를 함께 붙들기 원합니다.
1.Like a mother, the Holy Spirit does not leave His children as orphans but stays with them. (15–18)
성령님은 어머니처럼 자녀를 고아처럼 버려두지 않고 함께하십니다.
Before going to the cross, Jesus speaks very important words to His disciples.
예수님은 십자가를 앞두고 제자들에게 매우 중요한 말씀을 하십니다.
Until now, the disciples had followed Jesus with their own eyes.
제자들은 지금까지 눈으로 예수님을 보며 따라왔습니다.
Whenever they struggled, they could ask Jesus, and whenever they were afraid, they could run to Him.
힘들 때마다 예수님께 묻고, 두려울 때마다 주님 곁으로 달려갈 수 있었습니다.
But now Jesus tells them that He is going away, and their hearts are filled with fear and anxiety.
그런데 이제 예수님은 떠나신다고 말씀하셨기에 제자들의 마음에는 불안과 두려움이 밀려왔습니다.
At that moment Jesus says, “If you love me, you will obey what I command.” (John 14:15)
그때 예수님은 “너희가 나를 사랑하면 나의 계명을 지키리라.” (요 14:15)고 말씀하십니다.
Jesus first speaks about “love.”
예수님은 먼저 “사랑”을 말씀하십니다.
This is because faith does not begin with forced obedience, but with love.
신앙은 억지로 무엇을 지키는 삶이 아니라 사랑에서 시작되기 때문입니다.
When we love someone, we want to know that person’s heart and follow that person’s will.
우리가 누군가를 사랑하면 그 사람의 마음을 알고 싶어지고, 그의 뜻을 따라 살고 싶어집니다.
The same is true in our relationship with God.
하나님과의 관계도 마찬가지입니다.
Then Jesus says, “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever.” (John 14:16)
이어서 예수님은 “내가 아버지께 구하겠으니 그가 또 다른 보혜사를 너희에게 주사 영원토록 너희와 함께 있게 하리니” (요 14:16)라고 말씀하십니다.
The word “Counselor” means one who helps, comforts, and holds us up beside us.
“보혜사”라는 말에는 곁에서 도와주는 분, 위로하는 분, 붙들어 주는 분이라는 뜻이 있습니다.
Jesus is not abandoning His disciples, but promising to continue to be with them through the Holy Spirit.
예수님은 떠나시는 것이 아니라 성령님을 통해 계속 제자들과 함께하시겠다고 약속하시는 것입니다.
It is like a mother who does not leave her young child alone.
마치 어머니가 어린 자녀를 혼자 두지 않는 것과 같습니다.
When a child is afraid at night, she sits beside the child, lifts the child up after falling, and embraces the child when crying.
아이가 밤에 무서워하면 곁에 앉아 주고, 넘어지면 일으켜 주고, 울면 품에 안아 줍니다.
The Holy Spirit cares for us in the same way.
성령님도 그렇게 우리를 돌보십니다.
In verse 17, Jesus calls the Holy Spirit “the Spirit of truth.”
예수님은 17절에서 성령님을 “진리의 영”이라고 부르십니다.
The world cannot accept the Holy Spirit because it neither sees Him nor knows Him, but Jesus says that His disciples know Him.
세상은 성령님을 보지도 못하고 알지도 못하기 때문에 받아들이지 못하지만, 제자들은 성령님을 안다고 말씀하십니다.
This is because the Holy Spirit would dwell with them and be in them.
왜냐하면 성령님은 제자들과 함께 거하시고, 그들 안에 계실 것이기 때문입니다.
Faith is not simply learning religious knowledge.
신앙은 단순히 종교적인 지식을 배우는 것이 아닙니다.
It is experiencing that God is not distant, but One who comes into our lives and remains with us.
하나님이 멀리 계신 분이 아니라 내 삶 가운데 찾아오시고 머무시는 분이라는 것을 경험하는 것입니다.
Then Jesus says, “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” (John 14:18)
그리고 예수님은 “내가 너희를 고아와 같이 버려두지 아니하고 너희에게로 오리라.” (요 14:18)고 말씀하십니다.
At that time, the word “orphan” did not simply mean a child without parents.
당시 “고아”는 단순히 부모 없는 아이만 뜻하지 않았습니다.
It referred to those who were unprotected, without anyone to rely on, and left alone.
보호받지 못하는 사람, 의지할 곳 없는 사람, 혼자 남겨진 존재를 의미했습니다.
Jesus is promising His disciples, “I will not leave you alone. I will continue to stay by your side.”
예수님은 제자들에게 “너희를 혼자 남겨두지 않겠다. 내가 계속 너희 곁을 지키겠다.”고 약속하시는 것입니다.
As we live our lives, there are times when our hearts feel like orphans.
우리도 살아가다 보면 마음이 고아처럼 느껴질 때가 있습니다.
There are moments when we feel that no one understands our hearts, that we must endure everything alone, and that we have been abandoned in fear and pain.
아무도 내 마음을 이해하지 못하는 것 같고, 혼자 견뎌야 하는 것 같고, 상처와 두려움 속에 버려진 것처럼 느껴질 때가 있습니다.
Some people still carry deep loneliness because they were not loved well in childhood.
어떤 사람은 어린 시절 사랑받지 못한 기억 때문에 아직도 마음 깊은 곳에 외로움을 안고 살아갑니다.
Some feel alone even while living among family members.
어떤 사람은 가족 안에 있어도 늘 혼자인 것처럼 느낍니다.
Some believe they have been abandoned because of failure and wounds.
어떤 사람은 실패와 상처 때문에 자신이 버림받았다고 생각합니다.
But today Jesus says to us, “I will not leave you as orphans.”
그러나 오늘 예수님은 우리에게 “내가 너희를 고아처럼 버려두지 않겠다.”고 말씀하십니다.
Even now, the Holy Spirit comes into our lives.
성령님은 지금도 우리 삶 가운데 찾아오십니다.
When we weep, He holds our hearts, and when we collapse in exhaustion, He raises us up again.
우리가 눈물 흘릴 때 마음을 붙들어 주시고, 지쳐 주저앉을 때 다시 일으켜 세워 주십니다.
When we tremble in fear, the Holy Spirit says, “You are not alone. I am with you.”
우리가 두려움 속에서 흔들릴 때 성령님은 “너는 혼자가 아니다. 내가 네 곁에 있다.”고 말씀하십니다.
When we grow weary in loneliness, the Holy Spirit says, “I will never abandon you.”
우리가 외로움 속에서 지칠 때 성령님은 “내가 너를 버리지 않는다.”고 말씀하십니다.
When we lose the strength to keep going, the Holy Spirit says, “I am holding on to you, so rise again and walk forward.”
우리가 다시 살아갈 힘을 잃어버렸을 때 성령님은 “내가 너를 붙들고 있으니 다시 일어나 걸어가자.”고 말씀하십니다.
Just as a child rests securely in a mother’s embrace, the comfort and peace of the Lord remain in the hearts of those who abide in the Holy Spirit.
어머니의 품 안에서 아이가 안심하듯이, 성령님 안에 거하는 사람의 마음에도 주님이 주시는 위로와 평안이 머물게 됩니다.
2. Like a mother, the Holy Spirit teaches His children to keep the Word in love. (19–24)
성령님은 어머니처럼 자녀가 사랑 안에서 말씀을 지키도록 가르치십니다.
Jesus continues to tell His disciples about the work of the Holy Spirit.
예수님은 계속해서 제자들에게 성령님께서 하시는 일을 말씀해 주십니다.
The Holy Spirit is not only One who stays beside us, but also One who teaches us to live in the love of God.
성령님은 단지 우리 곁에 계시는 분만 아니라, 우리가 하나님의 사랑 안에서 살아가도록 가르치시는 분이십니다.
Jesus says, “Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.” (John 14:19)
예수님은 “조금 있으면 세상은 다시 나를 보지 못할 것이로되 너희는 나를 보리니 이는 내가 살아 있고 너희도 살아 있겠음이라.” (요 14:19)고 말씀하십니다.
Jesus would soon go to the cross and leave the world.
예수님은 곧 십자가를 지시고 세상을 떠나실 것입니다.
The people of the world would no longer see Him.
세상 사람들은 예수님을 더 이상 보지 못하게 될 것입니다.
But Jesus says that His disciples would continue to experience Him.
그러나 제자들은 주님을 계속 경험하게 될 것이라고 말씀하십니다.
This is because Jesus would not end in death, but would rise again.
왜냐하면 예수님은 죽음으로 끝나시는 분이 아니라 다시 살아나실 분이시기 때문입니다.
And the Holy Spirit would help the disciples realize that the risen Lord was still with them.
그리고 성령님께서 살아계신 주님을 제자들의 삶 가운데 깨닫게 하실 것이기 때문입니다.
So Jesus says, “On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.” (John 14:20)
그래서 예수님은 “그 날에는 내가 아버지 안에, 너희가 내 안에, 내가 너희 안에 있는 것을 너희가 알리라.” (요 14:20)고 말씀하십니다.
This is not speaking about simple knowledge.
이 말씀은 단순한 지식을 말하는 것이 아닙니다.
It speaks about a life connected to God and a close relationship of walking with the Lord.
하나님과 연결된 삶, 주님과 가까이 동행하는 관계를 말합니다.
The relationship between a mother and child is similar.
어머니와 자녀의 관계도 그렇습니다.
A young child does not understand everything from the beginning.
어린 자녀는 처음부터 모든 것을 이해하지 못합니다.
But by living together, the child learns love, learns how to speak, and learns how to live.
그러나 함께 살아가면서 사랑을 배우고, 말하는 법을 배우고, 살아가는 방식을 배웁니다.
The Holy Spirit teaches us in the same way.
성령님도 우리를 그렇게 가르치십니다.
He does not force us along, but changes us little by little in love.
억지로 끌고 가시는 것이 아니라 사랑 안에서 조금씩 변화시키십니다.
Jesus says, “Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me.” (John 14:21)
예수님은 “나의 계명을 지키는 자라야 나를 사랑하는 자니” (요 14:21)라고 말씀하십니다.
Here, “keeping His commands” does not mean following rules by force.
여기서 “계명을 지킨다”는 것은 단순히 규칙을 억지로 따라가는 것을 뜻하지 않습니다.
It means treasuring His Word in our hearts and living by it because we love Him.
사랑하기 때문에 그 말씀을 마음에 두고 살아가려는 것입니다.
People become like the ones they love.
사람은 사랑하는 존재를 닮아갑니다.
Just as children who love their parents begin to resemble their parents’ words and actions, those who love Jesus begin to resemble His heart.
부모를 사랑하는 자녀가 부모의 말투와 행동을 닮아가듯이, 예수님을 사랑하는 사람은 주님의 마음을 닮아가게 됩니다.
Jesus says, “He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.” (John 14:21)
예수님은 “나를 사랑하는 자는 내 아버지께 사랑을 받을 것이요 나도 그를 사랑하여 그에게 나를 나타내리라.” (요 14:21)고 말씀하십니다.
The Lord reveals Himself to those who love Him.
주님은 자신을 사랑하는 사람에게 자신을 나타내십니다.
This means that we gradually come to understand the heart of the Lord in our daily lives and experience His guidance through His Word.
삶 속에서 주님의 마음을 점점 더 깨닫고, 말씀 가운데 주님의 인도하심을 경험하게 된다는 뜻입니다.
Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) asks Jesus, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?” (John 14:22)
그때 가룟인이 아닌 유다가 예수님께 “주여 어찌하여 자기를 우리에게는 나타내시고 세상에는 아니하려 하시나이까” (요 14:22)라고 묻습니다.
Judas was still expecting Jesus to display His power and glory openly before the world.
유다는 아직도 예수님께서 세상 앞에 능력과 영광을 크게 드러내시기를 기대하고 있었습니다.
But Jesus did not come to rule the world by force.
그러나 예수님은 세상을 힘으로 지배하려 하지 않으셨습니다.
Jesus desired to dwell among those who opened their hearts in love.
예수님은 사랑 안에서 마음을 여는 사람 가운데 거하시기를 원하셨습니다.
So Jesus says, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” (John 14:23)
그래서 예수님은 “사람이 나를 사랑하면 내 말을 지키리니 내 아버지께서 그를 사랑하실 것이요 우리가 그에게 가서 거처를 그와 함께 하리라.” (요 14:23)고 말씀하십니다.
To “make our home with him” means that God is not distant, but remains present in our lives.
“거처를 함께한다”는 말은 하나님께서 멀리 계신 분이 아니라 우리 삶 가운데 머무신다는 뜻입니다.
God is not someone we meet only inside a church building.
하나님은 단순히 예배당 안에서만 만나는 분이 아닙니다.
He is with us in our homes, in our tears, and in the ordinary places of everyday life.
우리의 가정 속에서, 눈물 속에서, 일상의 자리 속에서 함께하시는 분이십니다.
On the other hand, Jesus says, “He who does not love me will not obey my teaching.” (John 14:24)
반대로 예수님은 “나를 사랑하지 아니하는 자는 내 말을 지키지 아니하나니” (요 14:24)라고 말씀하십니다.
Without love, even God’s Word feels like a burden.
사랑이 없으면 말씀도 짐처럼 느껴집니다.
But when love is present, obeying His Word becomes not forced duty, but a response of love.
그러나 사랑이 있으면 말씀을 지키는 일도 억지가 아니라 사랑의 응답이 됩니다.
A mother does not teach her child how to live through force alone.
어머니는 자녀에게 억지로 살아가는 법만 가르치지 않습니다.
She waits patiently, teaches again and again, and lifts the child up after every fall.
기다려 주고, 반복해서 알려 주고, 넘어져도 다시 일으켜 세워 줍니다.
The Holy Spirit leads us in the same way.
성령님도 우리를 그렇게 인도하십니다.
We are still weak and imperfect.
우리는 아직 부족합니다.
There are times when we want to live according to the Word, yet we keep stumbling.
말씀대로 살고 싶지만 자꾸 넘어질 때도 있습니다.
There are times when we know we should forgive, yet our hearts remain closed, and when wounds rise before love can.
용서해야 하는데 마음이 닫히고, 사랑해야 하는데 상처가 먼저 올라올 때도 있습니다.
But the Holy Spirit does not give up on us.
그러나 성령님은 그런 우리를 포기하지 않으십니다.
Like one holding a child who is learning to walk, He lifts us up again today.
걸음마하는 아이를 붙들어 주듯이 오늘도 우리를 다시 일으켜 세우십니다.
When we feel that we have fallen, the Holy Spirit says, “It’s alright. Get up again. I am with you.”
우리가 넘어졌다고 느낄 때 성령님은 “괜찮다. 다시 일어나면 된다. 내가 너와 함께한다.”고 말씀하십니다.
When we feel unable to live according to the Word, the Holy Spirit says, “Do not try to do this alone. I will help you from within.”
우리가 말씀대로 살 자신이 없다고 느낄 때 성령님은 “너 혼자 하려고 하지 말아라. 내가 네 안에서 너를 도울 것이다.”고 말씀하십니다.
When we lose the strength to love, the Holy Spirit says, “I am already holding you in love, so take one more step within that love.”
우리가 사랑할 힘을 잃어버렸을 때 성령님은 “내가 먼저 너를 사랑으로 붙들고 있으니, 그 사랑 안에서 한 걸음만 다시 걸어가 보아라.”고 말씀하십니다.
Therefore, keeping the Word is not a life of struggling in fear.
그래서 말씀을 지키는 삶은 두려움으로 억지로 버티는 삶이 아닙니다.
It is a life of gradually becoming more like the Lord while being held by the Holy Spirit in love.
성령님께 붙들려 사랑 안에서 조금씩 주님을 닮아가는 삶입니다.
3. Like a mother, the Holy Spirit reminds His children of the Word and gives them peace. (25–31)
성령님은 어머니처럼 자녀에게 말씀을 생각나게 하시고 평안을 주십니다.
Lastly, Jesus speaks about an important work that the Holy Spirit does within us.
예수님은 마지막으로 성령님께서 우리 안에서 하시는 중요한 일을 말씀하십니다.
The Holy Spirit reminds us of the Lord’s Word when we are shaken and helps us live in His peace.
성령님은 우리가 흔들릴 때 주님의 말씀을 다시 생각나게 하시고, 그 말씀 안에서 평안을 누리게 하시는 분이십니다.
Jesus says, “All this I have spoken while still with you.” (John 14:25)
예수님은 “내가 아직 너희와 함께 있어서 이 말을 너희에게 하였거니와” (요 14:25)라고 말씀하십니다.
Jesus is still with His disciples, but He must soon go to the cross.
예수님은 지금 제자들과 함께 계시지만 곧 십자가의 길로 가셔야 합니다.
The disciples still do not fully understand His words.
제자들은 아직 예수님의 말씀을 완전히 이해하지 못하고 있습니다.
Soon they will experience great fear and confusion.
앞으로 큰 두려움과 혼란을 경험하게 될 것입니다.
But Jesus does not leave them alone in their anxiety.
그러나 예수님은 제자들을 불안 속에 그냥 남겨두지 않으십니다.
Jesus says, “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” (John 14:26)
예수님은 “보혜사 곧 아버지께서 내 이름으로 보내실 성령 그가 너희에게 모든 것을 가르치고 내가 너희에게 말한 모든 것을 생각나게 하리라.” (요 14:26)고 말씀하십니다.
When fear comes, people often forget the words they most need to remember.
사람은 두려움이 찾아오면 중요한 말을 잊어버릴 때가 많습니다.
When wounds deepen, memories of rejection sometimes rise more quickly than memories of love.
상처가 깊어지면 사랑받았던 기억보다 버림받았던 기억이 먼저 떠오르기도 합니다.
When problems grow larger, the fear of reality can seem greater than the promises of God.
문제가 커지면 하나님의 약속보다 현실의 두려움이 더 크게 보일 때도 있습니다.
But the Holy Spirit reminds us again of the Lord’s Word that we had forgotten.
그런데 성령님은 우리가 잊고 있던 주님의 말씀을 다시 생각나게 하십니다.
“I am with you.” “Do not be afraid.” “My grace is sufficient for you.”
“내가 너와 함께한다.” “두려워하지 말라.” “내 은혜가 네게 족하다.”
“Come to me, all who are weary and burdened.”
“수고하고 무거운 짐 진 자들아 다 내게로 오라.”
The Holy Spirit does not leave the Word as mere knowledge in our minds.
성령님은 말씀을 단지 머리 속 지식으로만 남겨두지 않으십니다.
He makes the Word alive again in the moments of our everyday lives.
우리 삶의 순간 속에서 그 말씀을 다시 살아 있게 하십니다.
The Holy Spirit reminds us of the Word not to bind us to past wounds, but to help us live again in the love of the Lord.
성령님이 말씀을 생각나게 하시는 이유는 우리를 과거의 상처에 묶어 두기 위해서가 아니라, 주님의 사랑 안에서 다시 살아가게 하시기 위해서입니다.
A mother does the same thing.
어머니도 그렇습니다.
When her child is struggling, she reminds the child of the words she spoke before.
자녀가 힘들어할 때 이전에 들려주었던 말을 다시 기억나게 해 줍니다.
“It’s alright.” “You are not alone.” “Let’s try again.” “I will stay beside you.”
“괜찮아.” “너는 혼자가 아니야.” “다시 해보자.” “내가 곁에 있을게.”
Just one word like that can help a child rise again.
그 말 한마디가 아이를 다시 일어나게 합니다.
The Holy Spirit speaks to us in the same way within our hearts.
성령님도 우리 안에서 그렇게 말씀하십니다.
Then Jesus says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.” (John 14:27)
그리고 예수님은 “평안을 너희에게 끼치노니 곧 나의 평안을 너희에게 주노라.” (요 14:27)고 말씀하십니다.
The peace that the world gives can remain only when circumstances are good.
세상이 주는 평안은 상황이 좋아야 유지됩니다.
When problems come, that peace easily falls apart.
문제가 생기면 쉽게 무너지고 맙니다.
But the peace that Jesus gives does not come from circumstances, but from relationship.
그러나 예수님이 주시는 평안은 상황이 아니라 관계에서 오는 평안입니다.
It comes from the assurance that the Lord is with us.
주님이 함께하신다는 확신 속에서 오는 평안입니다.
That is why Jesus says, “Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)
그래서 예수님은 “너희는 마음에 근심하지도 말고 두려워하지도 말라.” (요 14:27)고 말씀하십니다.
Soon the disciples would witness the cross of Jesus.
제자들은 곧 예수님의 십자가를 보게 될 것입니다.
They would be shaken by a reality completely different from what they had expected.
자신들이 기대했던 모습과 너무 다른 현실 앞에서 흔들리게 될 것입니다.
But Jesus teaches them that the cross is not the way of failure, but the way of love.
그러나 예수님은 십자가가 실패가 아니라 사랑의 길이라는 것을 알려 주십니다.
Jesus says, “I am going away and I am coming back to you.” (John 14:28)
예수님은 “내가 갔다가 너희에게로 온다” (요 14:28)고 말씀하십니다.
His leaving would not be the end, but a promise that He would come again and remain with His disciples.
떠나심으로 끝나는 것이 아니라 다시 오셔서 제자들과 함께하실 것을 약속하시는 것입니다.
And Jesus says, “I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe.” (John 14:29)
그리고 “이 일이 일어나기 전에 너희에게 말한 것은 일이 일어날 때에 너희로 믿게 하려 함이라.” (요 14:29)고 말씀하십니다.
The Lord wanted His disciples not to lose their faith even in the face of future fears.
주님은 제자들이 미래의 두려움 속에서도 믿음을 잃지 않기를 원하셨습니다.
So He spoke beforehand and prepared them.
그래서 미리 말씀하시고 준비시키셨습니다.
In verse 30 Jesus says, “The prince of this world is coming. He has no hold on me.”
30절에서는 “이 세상 임금이 오겠음이라 그러나 그는 내게 관계할 것이 없으니”라고 말씀하십니다.
It would appear as though the evil powers of the world were overcoming Jesus.
세상의 악한 권세가 예수님을 무너뜨리는 것처럼 보일 것입니다.
But Jesus was not one who surrendered to sin and darkness.
그러나 예수님은 죄와 어둠에 굴복하시는 분이 아니셨습니다.
Instead, by loving and obeying the Father to the very end, He walked the path that saves the world.
오히려 끝까지 아버지를 사랑하시고 순종하심으로 세상을 살리는 길을 가셨습니다.
So at the end Jesus says, “Come now; let us leave.” (John 14:31)
그래서 예수님은 마지막에 “오라 우리가 여기서 떠나자” (요 14:31)고 말씀하십니다.
Jesus did not hide because of fear.
예수님은 두려움 때문에 숨지 않으셨습니다.
He walked toward the cross because of love.
사랑 때문에 십자가의 길로 걸어가셨습니다.
Even today, the Holy Spirit reminds us of that path.
성령님은 오늘도 우리에게 그 길을 기억나게 하십니다.

When we are shaken by the heavy burdens of life, the Holy Spirit says, “Do not be afraid. I am holding your heart.”

When we become anxious about the future, the Holy Spirit says, “I will already be there before you.”
