and the weight of our hearts does not easily lift.
때론 신앙도 겨우 버티는 것 같을 때가 있습니다.
Sometimes, even our faith feels like something we are just trying to endure.
우리는 부활을 믿지만,
We believe in the resurrection,
다시 산 사람처럼 살지는 못할 때가 있습니다.
yet we often do not live as people who have risen again.

Why is that?
오늘 본문 속 사두개인들도 부활을 들었지만 부활을 몰랐던 사람들이었습니다.
The Sadducees in today’s text had heard of the resurrection, yet they did not truly understand it.
그들은 부활을 추상적 개념으로만 보았기 때문입니다.
Because they viewed the resurrection merely as an abstract idea.
예수님은 그들에게, 그리고 우리에게 말씀하십니다.
Jesus speaks to them and to us:
부활은 먼 미래의 사건이 아니라
The resurrection is not only a distant future event,
지금 우리의 정체성과 삶을 바꾸는 생명이다.
but a life that transforms our identity and our living here and now.
그렇다면 다시 산 사람처럼 산다는 것은 무엇일까요?
Then what does it mean to live as someone who has been raised?
예수님은 오늘 말씀 속에서 분명하게 세 가지로 보여주십니다.
In today’s passage, Jesus shows us three clear truths.
이제 본문으로 들어가 보겠습니다.
Let us now turn to the Scripture together.
1.우리는 천사와 동등한 하나님의 자녀로 삽니다. (27–36)
We live as God’s children, equal to the angels.
오늘 본문에 등장하는 사두개인들은 성경을 알고 제사드리던 사람들이었습니다.
The Sadducees in today’s passage were people who knew Scripture and offered sacrifices.
그러나 그들은 부활을 믿지 않았습니다.
However, they did not believe in the resurrection.
그들에게 신앙은 지금 보이는 것, 계산될 수 있는 것까지만 의미가 있었습니다.
For them, faith mattered only as far as it could be seen and measured.
그래서 부활을 논쟁과 질문의 문제로 만들어 예수님을 시험합니다.
So they turned the resurrection into a topic of debate and used it to test Jesus.

“A woman married seven brothers in succession,
부활 때에는 누구의 아내가 됩니까?”
whose wife will she be in the resurrection?”
사두개인들은 부활 이후의 삶도 지금의 조건과 제도가 그대로 유지된다고 생각했습니다.
The Sadducees assumed that life after the resurrection would operate with the same conditions and structures as now.
즉, 부활을 이 세상 삶의 연장선으로 본 것입니다.
In other words, they saw the resurrection as merely a continuation of earthly life.
그러나 예수님은 그 전제를 깨뜨리고 말씀하십니다.
But Jesus breaks that assumption and teaches them differently.
“그들은 다시 죽을 수도 없나니
“They can no longer die;
천사와 같으며
they are like the angels,
하나님의 자녀요 부활의 자녀라.” (36절)
and are God’s children, children of the resurrection.” (v.36)
여기서 “천사와 같다”는 말은

but God’s family, belonging to heaven, people of the resurrection.

“Even when we were dead in our sins, God made us alive with Christ and raised us with Him.” (Ephesians 2:5–6)

This tells us that a resurrection has already taken place.

We have already been made alive spiritually.

We live before God today in the life of the resurrection

and shows that the resurrection is clearly testified in Scripture.

To live in the resurrection life is to live by the power of the Spirit of resurrection.

We are not people who maintain faith by our own strength.

부활 생명은
The life of resurrection
의지로 버티는 삶이 아니라
is not a life of enduring by willpower,

but a life that rises again by the power of the Holy Spirit.
용서할 힘이 없을 때,
When we have no strength to forgive,
다시 사랑할 마음이 없을 때,
when we have no heart to love again,
일어나고 싶지 않을 때,

Jesus loved, served, humbled Himself, and died on the cross.

The world called that life a failure.

But God spoke through the resurrection:

That path was not a path of defeat.

is not sustained by my own strength

버티는 것도, 증명하는 것도 아닙니다.
is not to endure or prove ourselves.

It is simply to confess:
“나는 다시 살아난 사람이다.
“I am someone who has been raised again.
나는 오늘 하나님 앞에 살아 있는 사람이다.”
I am alive before God today.”
이 고백이

우리의 마음을 회복시키고

3. 승리를 주시는 그리스도와 함께 삽니다 (41–44)
We live with Christ, who gives us victory

After answering the Sadducees, Jesus now asks them a question.
