The Faith That Leads to Salvation
누가복음 Luke 17:11-37
예수님 당시 사람들은 하나님의 나라를 “눈에 보이는 나라, 언젠가 도래할 외적인 왕국”으로 여겼습니다.
In the days of Jesus, people thought of the Kingdom of God as a visible nation — an outward kingdom that would someday come.
하지만, 예수님은 하나님의 나라를 “지금 이 순간, 하나님이 다스리시는 마음의 나라, 회복된 관계 속의 나라”로 가르치셨습니다.
However, Jesus taught that the Kingdom of God is “the present reign of God in the heart — a kingdom of restored relationship.”
또한 예수님은 “하나님의 나라는 지금 여기서 시작되었으나, 장차 완전하게 이루어질 나라”로 말씀하셨습니다.
Jesus also said, “The Kingdom of God has already begun here and now, but it will be fully completed in the future.”
믿음으로 사는 성도는 그 나라의 백성으로 이미 살아가면서, 그 나라의 완성을 소망하며 기다리는 사람들입니다.
Those who live by faith are already citizens of that Kingdom, living in hope and longing for its completion.
그리고 오늘 본문은 바로 그 하나님의 나라가 어떻게 임하며, 믿음이 어떻게 구원으로 이어지는지를 세 장면을 통해 생생하게 보여줍니다.
Today’s passage vividly shows, through three scenes, how the Kingdom of God comes and how faith leads to salvation.
먼저, 하나님께 돌아와 감사하는 사마리아 사람을 통해 믿음은 감사로 드러난다는 것을 보게 됩니다.
First, through the Samaritan who returned to give thanks, we see that faith is revealed through gratitude.
그리고 바리새인과 제자들과의 대화를 통해 믿음은 하나님의 나라를 지금 이 땅에 임하게 한다는 것을 가르치십니다.
Second, through Jesus’ conversation with the Pharisees and His disciples, we learn that faith brings God’s Kingdom into our present reality.
마지막으로 롯의 아내의 이야기를 통해 믿음은 삶의 방향과 태도로 증명된다는 사실을 일깨우십니다.
Finally, through the story of Lot’s wife, we are reminded that faith is proven by the direction and attitude of one’s life.
오늘 우리는 세 장면을 통해, 예수님이 말씀하신 믿음이 무엇인지 살펴보려 합니다.
Today, through three scenes, we will explore what kind of faith Jesus spoke about.
그 믿음은 단순한 지식일까요?
Is that faith merely a matter of knowledge?
아니면 하나님과의 관계를 회복하고 삶의 방향을 바꾸는 힘일까요?
Or is it the power that restores our relationship with God and changes the direction of our lives?
1. 믿음은 하나님께 대한 감사로 나타납니다 (누가복음 17:11–19)
Faith Is Shown Through Gratitude to God
예수님께서 예루살렘으로 가시는 길에 사마리아와 갈릴리 사이의 마을을 지나가셨습니다.
As Jesus was on His way to Jerusalem, He passed through a village between Samaria and Galilee.
그곳에서 나병 환자 열 명이 예수님을 멀리서 부르며 소리쳤습니다.
There, ten lepers stood at a distance and called out to Him.
“예수 선생님이여, 우리를 불쌍히 여기소서!” (13절)
“Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” (v.13)
나병 환자들은 율법상 사람들과 접촉할 수 없는 격리된 인생들이었습니다.
Lepers were outcasts under the law, unable to have contact with others.
그런데 예수님께서 그들을 향해 “가서 제사장들에게 너희 몸을 보이라.”고 말씀하십니다.
Yet Jesus said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.”
놀랍게도 그들은 예수님의 말씀을 믿고 순종하며 가는 도중에 깨끗하게 치유되었습니다.
Amazingly, as they went in faith and obedience, they were cleansed on the way.
그런데 열 명 모두가 고침을 받았지만, 단 한 사람만 예수님께 돌아와 감사하며 하나님께 영광을 돌립니다.
But though all ten were healed, only one returned to give thanks and glorify God.
예수님께로 돌아온 사람은 사마리아 사람이었습니다 — 유대인들이 멸시하던 외국인이었죠.
The one who came back was a Samaritan — a foreigner despised by the Jews.
예수님은 말씀하셨습니다. “열 사람이 다 깨끗함을 받지 아니하였느냐? 그 아홉은 어디 있느냐?” (17절)
Jesus said, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine?” (v.17)
이 말씀은 예수님이 감사로 나타나는 믿음이 진짜 믿음임을 보여주신 것입니다.
Through these words, Jesus revealed that true faith is expressed through gratitude.
치유 자체보다 중요한 것은, 치유하신 분께 돌아와 감사하는 마음이었습니다.
More important than the healing itself was the heart that returned in thanksgiving to the Healer.
감사는 단순한 예의가 아니라, “내가 스스로 한 것이 아니라 누군가의 은혜로 살고 있다”는 깨달음입니다.
Gratitude is not mere politeness; it is the realization that “I live by grace, not by my own doing.”
누구나 인생에서 예상치 못한 도움을 받는 순간이 있습니다.
Everyone has moments in life when unexpected help comes.
병이 나았을 때, 사고에서 살아남았을 때, 혹은 누군가의 사랑으로 다시 일어섰을 때 —
When we are healed, spared from danger, or lifted up by someone’s love —
그 순간 우리가 자연스럽게 “감사하다”는 마음이 든다면, 그 마음 속에는 이미 믿음의 씨앗이 심겨진 것입니다.
If in that moment we feel true gratitude, then the seed of faith is already planted in our hearts.
반면, 아무리 많은 것을 받아도 감사하지 않는다면 그 사람은 여전히 자기 중심의 세계에 갇혀 있는 것입니다.
On the other hand, if one receives much yet feels no gratitude, that person remains trapped in self-centeredness.
예수님이 보신 ‘구원을 얻게 하는 믿음’은 단순히 “치유되었다”는 기적보다, “하나님께 돌아와 감사할 줄 아는 마음”이었습니다.
The “faith that leads to salvation” Jesus saw was not just in the miracle of healing, but in the heart that returns to God in thankfulness.
예수님은 사마리아 사람에게 말씀하셨습니다. “일어나 가라, 네 믿음이 너를 구원하였느니라.” (19절)
Jesus said to the Samaritan, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.” (v.19)
이 말은 곧 “너의 감사로 드러난 믿음이, 너와 하나님과의 관계를 회복시켰다”는 뜻입니다.
This meant, “Your faith, revealed through gratitude, has restored your relationship with God.”
육체의 병뿐 아니라, 하나님과의 관계가 회복된 진짜 구원이 이루어진 것입니다.
Not only was his body healed, but true salvation — the restoration of relationship with God — had taken place.
믿음은 눈에 보이는 결과보다 마음의 방향입니다.
Faith is not about visible results, but about the direction of the heart.
그래서 진짜 믿음은 “하나님, 감사합니다”라는 말로 표현됩니다.
That’s why genuine faith is expressed in the simple words, “Thank You, Lord.”
감사는 구원의 출발점입니다. 왜냐하면 감사가 하나님께 돌아오는 첫 걸음이기 때문입니다.
Gratitude is the beginning of salvation, for it is the first step of returning to God.
감사로 드러나는 믿음이란, 삶의 방향을 하나님께로 돌리는 결단입니다.
Faith revealed through gratitude is a decision to turn one’s life back toward God.
그 믿음이 어떤 변화를 가져오는지, 성경은 한 인물의 이야기를 통해 우리에게 보여줍니다.
And to show what such faith can bring, the Bible gives us the story of one man.
아람의 수도 다메섹에는 왕이 가장 신뢰하는 장군이 있었습니다.
In Damascus, the capital of Aram, there was a general highly trusted by the king.
그의 이름은 나아만입니다.
His name was Naaman.
그는 수많은 전쟁에서 승리했고, 왕의 곁에 언제나 당당하게 서 있던 사람이었습니다.
He had won many battles and always stood proudly by the king’s side.
하지만 아무도 모르는 비밀이 있었습니다.
But he carried a secret no one else knew.
그의 갑옷 안, 반짝이는 철갑 밑에는 문둥병이 퍼지고 있었습니다.
Beneath his shining armor, hidden under the steel plates, leprosy was spreading across his body.
밤이 되면 그는 갑옷을 벗고, 촛불 아래 앉아 조용히 손을 내려다보았습니다.
At night, he would remove his armor and sit under the candlelight, quietly staring at his hands.
손끝은 감각이 무뎌져 있었고, 살결은 희게 변해 있었습니다.
His fingertips had lost feeling, and his skin had turned pale and white.
그의 눈빛 속에는 두려움이 스며 있었습니다.
There was fear hidden in his eyes.
“내가 아무리 강한 장군이라도 이 병에는 무력하구나...”
“No matter how strong a general I am, I am powerless against this disease…”
그의 집에는 포로로 잡혀온 이스라엘의 한 어린 소녀가 있었습니다.
In his house lived a young Israelite girl who had been taken captive.
그 소녀는 나아만의 아내를 섬기며 살았지요.
She served Naaman’s wife.
그 소녀가 어느 날 조심스럽게 말했습니다.
One day, the girl spoke timidly.
“우리나라에 엘리사라는 하나님의 사람이 있어요. 주인님이 그분께 가신다면 고침을 받을 거예요.”
“There is a man of God in my country named Elisha. If my master goes to him, he will be healed.”
나아만은 처음엔 믿지 않았습니다.
At first, Naaman did not believe.
“이스라엘의 신이 아람 사람을 낫게 한다고?”
“The God of Israel can heal an Aramean?”
그러나 마음 한쪽에서는 희미한 소망이 일었습니다.
Yet, somewhere deep inside, a faint hope arose.
그는 은과 금, 그리고 고운 옷들을 수레에 실었습니다.
He loaded silver, gold, and fine garments onto his chariot.
그리고 왕의 편지를 손에 쥐고 이스라엘로 향했습니다.
Then, with a letter from the king in hand, he set out for Israel.
그가 엘리사에게 왔지만, 엘리사 선지자는 그를 직접 만나주지도 않았습니다.
When he arrived at Elisha’s house, the prophet did not even come out to meet him.
대신 사자를 보내 이렇게 말했습니다.
Instead, Elisha sent a messenger to say this.
“요단강에 가서 몸을 일곱 번 씻으시오.
Then go and wash yourself seven times in the Jordan River.
그리하면 네 살이 깨끗하게 될 것이오.”
Then your flesh will be restored, and you will be cleansed.”
나아만은 분노했습니다.
Naaman became furious.
“내가 그 먼 길을 왔건만 겨우 강물에 몸을 담그라니!
“I have come all this way, and he tells me to wash in a river?
내 나라 다메섹의 아바나와 바르발 강이 요단보다 낫지 않은가?”
Are not the Abana and Pharpar rivers of Damascus better than all the waters of Israel?”
그는 돌아가려 했습니다.
He turned and started to go away in anger.
그때 부하 하나가 조용히 말했습니다.
But one of his servants quietly said,
“장군님, 큰일을 시키셨다면 하지 않으셨겠습니까?
“My lord, if the prophet had asked you to do some great thing, would you not have done it?
하물며 단지 몸을 씻으라 하시니 해보시는 게 어떻습니까?”
How much more, then, when he tells you simply, ‘Wash and be cleansed’?”
그 말에 나아만은 잠시 말이 없었습니다.
Naaman fell silent at those words.
그리고 천천히 말을 돌려 요단강으로 향했습니다.
Then he slowly turned his chariot toward the Jordan River.
첫 번째 몸을 담갔을 때, 아무 일도 일어나지 않았습니다.
When he dipped himself the first time, nothing happened.
물결만 흘러가고, 그의 마음에는 ‘정말 이게 무슨 의미가 있을까?’ 하는 회의가 스쳤습니다.
The water flowed by, and doubt crossed his mind: “What could possibly come of this?”
두 번째, 세 번째 몸을 담그면서도 여전히 달라진 것이 없었습니다.
The second and third immersions brought no change.
그러나 그의 마음 어딘가에, ‘그래도 하나님이 하라고 하신 일이니 끝까지 해보자’는 작은 순종이 자라나기 시작했습니다.
Yet somewhere within him, a small seed of obedience began to grow: “If God said it, I will see it through.”
그리고 일곱 번째 몸을 담갔을 때,
And when he dipped himself the seventh time,
놀랍게도 그의 살결이 어린아이처럼 깨끗해졌습니다.
Amazingly, his flesh became as clean as that of a young child.
그 순간 나아만의 몸만이 아니라, 그의 마음도 새로워졌습니다.
In that moment, not only his body but also his heart was renewed.
그는 단순한 병의 치유가 아니라, 하나님을 향한 감사와 믿음의 회복을 경험한 것이었습니다.
He experienced not merely physical healing, but the restoration of gratitude and faith toward God.
그는 물속에서 두 손을 들어 하늘을 보았습니다.
Standing in the water, he lifted his hands toward heaven.
뜨거운 눈물이 볼을 타고 흘러내렸습니다.
Hot tears streamed down his cheeks.
“하나님, 감사합니다… 당신이 진짜 하나님이십니다.”
“Thank You, Lord… You are truly the living God.”
그는 즉시 엘리사를 찾아 돌아갔습니다.
Immediately, he returned to find Elisha.
수레에서 내려 땅에 얼굴을 대고 절하며 말했습니다.
He got down from his chariot, bowed with his face to the ground, and said,
“이제는 내가 이스라엘 외에는 신이 없음을 알았습니다.”
“Now I know that there is no God in all the world except in Israel.”
“내가 주의 종에게 예물을 드리리이다.”
“Please accept a gift from your servant.”
엘리사는 그것을 거절했습니다.
But Elisha refused.
“은혜는 값을 치를 수 없는 것이오.”
“Grace cannot be bought.”
그날 나아만은 단순히 병이 나은 사람이 아니라, 하나님께 돌아온 사람이 되었습니다.
That day, Naaman was not just a man healed of disease — he became a man who had returned to God.
그의 육신이 깨끗해진 것보다 더 큰 기적은 그 마음 속에서 하나님과의 관계가 회복된 것이었습니다.
A greater miracle than the cleansing of his body was the restoration of his relationship with God.
나아만은 병이 낫자마자 감사로 돌아왔습니다.
As soon as he was healed, Naaman returned in gratitude.
그의 감사는 예의를 넘어서, 자신을 고치신 분께 마음을 드린 믿음의 반응이었습니다.
His thanksgiving went beyond politeness — it was a faithful response, giving his heart to the One who healed him.
이 모습은 누가복음 17장에 나오는 사마리아 나병환자와 닮았습니다.
This is much like the Samaritan leper in Luke 17.
열 명이 모두 고침을 받았지만, 하나님께 감사하며 돌아온 한 사람만이 “네 믿음이 너를 구원하였다”는 말씀을 들었습니다.
All ten were healed, but only one returned to thank God — and to him Jesus said, “Your faith has made you well.”
나아만과 그 사마리아인 모두 육체의 치유를 넘어서 하나님과의 관계 회복이라는 구원의 본질을 경험했습니다.
Both Naaman and the Samaritan experienced not only physical healing but the true essence of salvation — the restoration of relationship with God.
감사는 그 관계로 돌아가는 문이었고, 믿음은 그 문을 열어젖히는 열쇠였습니다.
Gratitude was the doorway back to that relationship, and faith was the key that opened it.
“감사는 단순한 예의가 아니라, 하나님께 돌아가는 믿음의 반응입니다.
“Gratitude is not a mere courtesy; it is a faithful response that turns our hearts back to God.
나아만이 감사로 하나님께 돌아온 것처럼, 우리도 은혜의 주인에게 돌아올 때 비로소 구원의 길이 열립니다.”
Just as Naaman returned to God in thanksgiving, the path of salvation opens for us when we return to the Giver of grace.”
2. 믿음은 하나님의 나라가 오게 합니다 (누가복음 17:20–30)
Faith Brings the Kingdom of God
두 번째 장면은 바리새인들이 예수님께 다가와 묻는 질문으로 시작됩니다.
The second scene begins with a question from the Pharisees to Jesus.
“하나님의 나라가 어느 때에 임하나이까?” (20절)
“When will the Kingdom of God come?” (v.20)
그들은 ‘하나님의 나라’가 로마 제국을 무너뜨리고, 이스라엘이 다시 정치적으로 독립하는 일이라고 생각했습니다.
They thought the Kingdom of God would mean the fall of Rome and the political restoration of Israel.
그들에게 하나님의 나라는 눈에 보이는 세상의 변화였던 것이죠.
To them, the Kingdom was a visible change in worldly power.
그러나 예수님은 전혀 다른 관점으로 대답하십니다.
But Jesus answered from a completely different perspective.
예수님께서 이렇게 말씀하십니다:
Jesus said to them,
“하나님의 나라는 볼 수 있게 임하는 것이 아니요, 또 여기 있다 저기 있다 하지 못하리니, 하나님의 나라는 너희 안에 있느니라.” (20–21절)
“The Kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the Kingdom of God is within you.” (vv.20–21)
이 말씀은 충격적이었습니다.
These words were shocking.
사람들이 ‘밖에서 일어나는 일’을 찾고 있을 때, 예수님은 “그 나라는 너희 마음 안에서 시작된다”고 하신 겁니다.
While people were looking for an outward sign, Jesus declared, “That Kingdom begins within you.”
즉, 믿음은 세상을 바꾸기 전에 사람의 내면을 바꾸는 힘입니다.
Faith is the power that transforms the heart before it transforms the world.
하나님의 나라는 권력이나 제도로 세워지는 나라가 아니라, 사람의 마음이 하나님께 향할 때 임하는 나라입니다.
The Kingdom of God is not built by power or systems, but begins when a person’s heart turns toward God.
우리가 흔히 “세상이 바뀌어야 한다”고 말하지만, 정작 세상을 바꾸는 시작은 한 사람의 마음 변화입니다.
We often say, “The world must change,” but true change begins with the transformation of one heart.
예를 들어, 한 사람이 하나님의 은혜를 힘입어 분노 대신 용서를 선택할 때,
For example, when someone, by the grace of God, chooses forgiveness over anger,
그 마음과 관계 속에 ‘평화’라는 하나님의 나라가 시작됩니다.
The Kingdom of God begins as peace within that person and their relationships.
또 한 사람이 절망 대신 희망을 품을 때,
And when another person holds on to hope instead of despair,
그 주변의 사람들까지도 새로운 용기와 생명의 빛을 경험하게 됩니다.
Those around them also experience new courage and the light of life.
이것이 바로 “하나님의 나라가 임하는 현상”입니다.
This is what it looks like when the Kingdom of God comes.
보이지 않지만, 사람의 마음에서부터 시작해 가정과 공동체를 변화시키는 하나님의 통치입니다.
It is God’s invisible rule that begins in the heart and transforms families and communities.
예수님은 이렇게 말씀하신 것입니다.
This is what Jesus meant when He said,
“하나님의 나라는 눈에 보이는 제도가 아니라, 믿음으로 사는 사람의 마음에서 시작된다.”
“The Kingdom of God is not a visible institution, but begins in the hearts of those who live by faith.”
예수님은 이어서 노아의 시대와 롯의 시대를 예로 드십니다.
Jesus then gave examples from the days of Noah and the days of Lot.
그때 사람들은 먹고 마시고 장가가고 시집가는 데만 집중했죠.
In those times, people were absorbed in eating, drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage.
겉으로는 평화로웠지만, 하나님을 잊은 삶이 결국 심판을 불러왔습니다.
Outwardly peaceful lives that had forgotten God eventually led to judgment.
예수님은 이렇게 말씀하십니다: “인자의 날에도 이러하리라.” (30절)
Jesus said, “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.” (v.30)
즉, 믿음이 없는 세상은 눈에 보이는 것에만 몰두하며 하나님의 나라를 놓칩니다.
In other words, a faithless world becomes consumed with visible things and misses the Kingdom of God.
하지만 믿음이 있는 사람은 세상 흐름 속에서도 하나님의 다스림이 지금 여기에도 임하고 있음을 봅니다.
But those with faith recognize God’s reign here and now, even amid the flow of this world.
하나님의 나라는 사람의 마음에서 시작되는 통치입니다.
The Kingdom of God is God’s rule beginning in the human heart.
믿음은 세상의 변화를 요구하기보다, 먼저 내 마음의 왕을 인정하는 것입니다.
Faith does not demand change from the world, but first acknowledges the King in one’s own heart.
하나님의 나라를 기다리는 사람은, 지금 이 자리에서 사랑과 정의와 자비로 살아가는 사람입니다.
Those who await the Kingdom of God are those who live today with love, justice, and mercy.
“믿음은 보이지 않는 세계를 바꾸는 힘입니다.
Faith is the power that transforms the unseen world.
하나님의 나라는 눈에 보이는 제국이 아니라, 감사와 사랑, 용서가 흐르는 사람의 마음에서 시작되는 새로운 세상입니다.”
The Kingdom of God is not a visible empire, but a new world that begins in hearts where gratitude, love, and forgiveness flow.
바로 그 하나님의 나라가 한 사람의 마음에 임했을 때 어떤 변화가 일어나는지를 보여주는 사람이 있습니다.
And there was one man whose story shows what happens when that Kingdom comes into a human heart.
그의 이름은 삭개오입니다.
His name was Zacchaeus.
누가복음 19장 1–10절은 하나님의 나라가 감사와 사랑, 용서로 변화된 한 사람의 삶 속에서 어떻게 나타나는지를 보여줍니다.
Luke 19:1–10 shows how the Kingdom of God appears in a life transformed by gratitude, love, and forgiveness.
여리고의 아침은 늘 분주했습니다.
The mornings in Jericho were always busy.
사람들이 상거래를 위해 성문으로 몰려들었고, 세리들은 세금을 걷기 위해 장부를 꺼내 들었습니다.
Crowds filled the city gate for trade, and tax collectors opened their ledgers to gather payments.
그 중에서도 삭개오는 이 도시에서 가장 이름난 사람이었습니다.
Among them, Zacchaeus was the most well-known man in the city.
그는 세리장으로 부와 권력을 가졌지만, 사람들의 눈에는 도둑보다 더한 죄인이었습니다.
As the chief tax collector, he had wealth and power, yet was seen as worse than a thief in people’s eyes.
누구도 그와 식사하지 않았고, 아이들은 그가 지나가면 돌멩이를 던지며 이렇게 외쳤습니다.
No one would eat with him, and children would throw stones as he passed, shouting,
“도둑 세리! 이방놈의 앞잡이!”
“Thief! Traitor of Israel!”
삭개오는 그 말을 들을 때마다 마음속으로 중얼거렸습니다.
Each time he heard those words, Zacchaeus muttered to himself,
“돈만 있으면 괜찮아. 아무도 나를 필요로 하지 않아도 상관없어.”
“As long as I have money, I’ll be fine. I don’t need anyone.”
하지만 밤이 되면 그는 창가에 홀로 앉아 생각했습니다.
But at night, he would sit alone by the window and think.
수북이 쌓인 돈주머니를 보면서도 마음은 이상하게 허전했습니다.
Even surrounded by piles of money bags, his heart felt strangely empty.
그의 부는 그를 자유롭게 하지 못했고, 그의 집은 넓었지만 하나님의 나라는 그곳에 없었습니다.
His wealth could not make him free, and though his house was large, the Kingdom of God was not there.
어느 날, 예수님이 여리고를 지나신다는 소식이 들렸습니다.
One day, word spread that Jesus was passing through Jericho.
병든 자가 낫고, 죄인이 용서받는다는 이야기가 돌았습니다.
Stories circulated that the sick were healed and sinners were forgiven.
삭개오는 마음이 흔들렸습니다.
Zacchaeus’ heart was stirred.
‘그분이 어떤 분인지 직접 보고 싶다…’
“I must see this man for myself…”
하지만 사람들은 그를 밀쳐냈습니다.
But the crowd pushed him away.
“네가 감히 예수를 보겠다고?”
“You? You think you can see Jesus?”
그는 작고 왜소한 몸으로 군중 사이를 비집고 들어갔습니다.
With his small and slight frame, he pushed his way through the crowd.
결국 한 돌무화과나무 위로 올라갔습니다.
Finally, he climbed up into a sycamore tree.
모든 사람 위에서, 그는 조용히 내려다보았습니다.
From above the crowd, he quietly looked down.
바로 그때, 예수님이 그 나무 밑에서 걸음을 멈추셨습니다.
At that very moment, Jesus stopped beneath the tree.
예수님이 고개를 들어 미소 지으시며 말씀하셨습니다.
Jesus looked up, smiled, and said,

“Zacchaeus, come down immediately. Today I must stay at your house.”
사람들은 웅성거렸습니다.
The people began to murmur among themselves.
“어떻게 죄인의 집에 들어가신단 말인가?”
“How could He go to be the guest of a sinner?”
하지만 삭개오의 가슴은 벅차올랐습니다.
But Zacchaeus’ heart was overwhelmed.
예수님이 자신의 이름을 부르셨기 때문입니다.
Because Jesus had called him by name.

“Lord, I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anyone, I will pay back four times the amount.”

For example, choosing truth over profit gained by deceit, and forgiveness instead of revenge.
이런 삶의 결정이 바로 믿음이 삶으로 드러나는 모습입니다.
Such decisions reveal faith lived out in daily life.
예수님은 말로만 믿음을 말하는 사람보다, 삶으로 믿음을 보여주는 사람을 찾으셨습니다.
Jesus sought not those who spoke of faith, but those who lived it.
