The Holy Spirit Has Come
사도행전(Acts) 2:1–24
사랑하는 여러분, 우리는 때로 하나님이 너무 멀리 계신 분처럼 느껴질 때가 있습니다. 기도해도 응답이 없는 것 같고, 말씀을 들어도 내게 하시는 말씀이 아닌 것처럼 들립니다. 그래서 신앙이란 마치 막연한 개념이나 이상처럼 여겨질 수 있습니다.
Dear friends, sometimes God feels so far away. We pray but feel unheard, and the Word seems to speak to someone else, not us. Faith can start to feel like an abstract idea or a distant ideal.
그러나 오늘 사도행전 2장을 통해 우리는 분명히 보게 됩니다. 하나님은 멀리 계신 분이 아니라 성령님을 통해 지금도 우리와 소통하시는 분이십니다. 그리고 우리 각 사람에게 비전을 주시고, 관계를 회복시키시는 사랑의 하나님이십니다.
But today, through Acts chapter 2, we clearly see this truth: God is not distant—He communicates with us through the Holy Spirit even now. He gives us vision and restores our broken relationship with Him in love.
1. 성령님은 우리와 ‘소통’하시는 하나님이십니다(1-13)
The Holy Spirit Is the God Who Communicates with Us
사도행전 2장 1–4절에서, 오순절 날 제자들이 다 함께 한 자리에 모였을 때, 하늘로부터 ‘급하고 강한 바람 같은 소리’가 들리고 ‘불의 혀들’이 갈라지며 각 사람 위에 임했습니다.
In Acts 2:1–4, when the day of Pentecost came and the disciples were together in one place, a sound like a violent wind came from heaven, and what seemed to be tongues of fire separated and came to rest on each of them.
이 시각적·청각적 표적은 단순한 현상이 아니라, 하나님께서 친히 그분의 백성에게 다가오셔서 소통하시려는 의지를 나타낸 사건입니다.
These visual and auditory signs were not mere phenomena—they demonstrated God's intention to come near and communicate with His people.
이어지는 5–11절에서는 예루살렘에 머물고 있던 각 나라에서 온 유대인들이 제자들이 말하는 것을 듣고 놀라는데, 그 이유는 “각자가 자기 난 곳 방언으로” 듣게 되었기 때문입니다(6).
In verses 5–11, Jews from every nation staying in Jerusalem were amazed because “each one heard them speaking in his own language” (6).
이는 단지 언어의 기적이 아니라, 하나님께서 각 사람의 삶의 자리와 언어 안으로 들어오셨다는 소통의 기적입니다.
This was not just a linguistic miracle—it was a miracle of divine communication in each person’s context and native tongue.
하나님은 우리의 언어를 통해, 즉 우리가 이해할 수 있는 방식으로 복음을 들려주십니다. 이는 하나님의 마음이 단지 전달이 아니라 ‘이해와 공감’을 원하신다는 증거입니다.
God speaks the gospel through our own language—in a way we can understand. This shows that His desire is not just to inform, but to connect and empathize.
이 장면은 창세기 11장의 바벨탑 사건과 대조됩니다. 바벨에서는 인간의 교만이 언어를 흩어지게 했고 소통을 단절시켰지만, 오순절에서는 겸손히 기다리던 사람들에게 언어의 소통과 복음의 전달이 이루어졌습니다.
This scene contrasts with the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11. At Babel, human pride scattered language and broke communication; at Pentecost, humble waiting led to unified understanding and the spread of the gospel.
하나님은 혼란이 아닌 소통을 원하십니다. 성령께서 임하신 것은 하나님께서 각 사람에게 말씀하시고, 그들이 하나님께 응답할 수 있게 하시려는 목적에서였습니다.
God desires communication, not confusion. The Holy Spirit came so that God might speak to each person and that each one could respond to Him.
사도행전 2:11에서 사람들은 이렇게 고백합니다: “우리가 다 우리의 각 나라 말로 하나님의 큰 일을 말함을 듣는도다.”
In Acts 2:11, the people exclaim, “We hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!”
여기서 ‘하나님의 큰 일’은 단지 과거의 사건이 아니라, 예수 그리스도의 십자가와 부활, 그리고 그를 통해 주어진 구원입니다.
“The wonders of God” are not only past acts, but the cross, the resurrection, and the salvation given through Jesus Christ.
하나님은 멀리 계신 분이 아니라, 우리의 언어로 말씀하시고, 우리의 상황 안에서 소통하시는 분입니다.
God is not distant—He speaks in our language and communicates within our life situations.
성령님은 오늘도 우리 안에 오셔서 복음을 내 이야기처럼 들리게 하시며, 하나님과의 소통을 회복시키시는 분이십니다.
The Holy Spirit still comes into our hearts today, making the gospel sound like our own story, and restoring our communication with God.
따라서 성령님과의 신앙생활은 단순한 종교적 습관이 아니라, 살아 계신 하나님과의 지속적이며 인격적인 ‘소통’입니다.
Therefore, life with the Holy Spirit is not a mere religious routine, but a continuous, personal communication with the living God.
에덴동산은 하나님과 사람이 완전한 교제를 나누던 장소였습니다. 아담과 하와는 날마다 하나님의 음성을 들으며 걷고 말할 수 있었습니다. 그러나 그들이 죄를 지은 날, 그 아름다운 소통은 끊어진 듯 보였습니다. 두 사람은 두려움에 사로잡혀 하나님의 낯을 피해 나무 사이에 숨었습니다.
The Garden of Eden was a place where God and humans enjoyed perfect fellowship. Adam and Eve heard God’s voice and walked with Him daily. But the day they sinned, that beautiful communication seemed broken. Fear gripped them, and they hid among the trees, away from God's presence.
그런데 하나님은 침묵하거나 외면하지 않으셨습니다. 오히려 그들을 부르셨습니다. “아담아, 네가 어디 있느냐?” 이 질문은 심판의 목소리가 아니라, 다시 관계를 열기 위한 하나님의 초대였습니다. 죄로 인해 도망간 인간을 하나님은 직접 찾아오셔서 소통을 시작하신 것입니다.
But God did not stay silent or turn away. Instead, He called out, “Adam, where are you?” This was not a voice of judgment—it was an invitation to reconnect. God initiated communication with humans who had run from Him in fear and guilt.
모세는 한때 애굽의 왕자였지만, 살인을 저지른 후 광야로 도망쳐 40년을 양치며 살아야 했습니다. 그는 실패한 인생, 말주변도 없고 자존감도 낮은 사람처럼 느껴졌습니다. 그런데 어느 날 떨기나무에 불이 붙었지만 타지 않는 이상한 광경 앞에 섰습니다.
Moses was once a prince of Egypt, but after killing a man, he fled to the desert and spent 40 years tending sheep. He saw himself as a failure—slow of speech, low in confidence. But one day, he stood before a bush that burned without being consumed.
그때 하나님은 “모세야, 모세야!” 하고 부르십니다. 두 번씩 이름을 부르신 것은 단순한 지시가 아니라, 따뜻한 부름이고, 인격적 소통의 시작이었습니다. 하나님은 모세가 도망쳤던 과거를 알고도, 다시 그를 불러 사명을 주십니다. 소통은 새로운 삶의 시작이 됩니다.
Then God called out, “Moses, Moses!” Saying his name twice wasn’t just a command—it was a warm invitation, the beginning of personal communication. God knew Moses’s past but still called him to a new mission. Communication became the start of a new life.
어린 사무엘은 성전에서 엘리 제사장을 도우며 살고 있었습니다. 그는 아직 하나님의 음성을 분별하지 못하는 나이였습니다. 어느 날 밤, 조용한 성전 안에 들려온 하나님의 음성. “사무엘아, 사무엘아!” 세 번씩 부르신 끝에, 엘리의 도움을 받아 사무엘은 응답합니다. “말씀하옵소서. 주의 종이 듣겠나이다.”
Young Samuel was serving under Eli the priest in the temple. He didn’t yet recognize God’s voice. One night, in the quiet temple, God called out, “Samuel, Samuel!” After being called three times and with Eli’s help, Samuel finally responded, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”
하나님은 나이가 많거나 지혜로운 자만 찾지 않으십니다. 듣고자 하는 마음이 있는 자, 순수한 영혼을 가진 자에게 먼저 말씀하십니다. 하나님의 소통은 나이와 지식을 초월합니다. 사무엘은 어린 나이에도 하나님의 음성을 들을 수 있었고, 그날 이후 하나님의 말씀이 그에게 계속 임하게 됩니다.
God doesn’t speak only to the wise or aged. He speaks first to those who have hearts willing to listen. His communication transcends age and education. Though young, Samuel could hear God's voice—and from that day on, God’s word continued to come to him.
하나님은 단지 말씀으로만 우리와 소통하지 않으셨습니다. 결국, 하나님 자신이 사람이 되어 오셨습니다. “말씀이 육신이 되어 우리 가운데 거하시매…” (요 1:14) 예수님은 사람의 언어로 말씀하시고, 사람의 감정으로 함께 아파하시며, 하나님의 뜻을 우리 삶 속에서 직접 보여주셨습니다.
God did not only communicate through spoken words—He came in person. “The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us…” (John 1:14) Jesus spoke in human language, shared in human pain, and revealed God’s will directly through His life.
그 예수님은 부활 후에도 제자들을 찾아오셔서 “너희에게 평강이 있을지어다” 하고 말씀하시며, 상처 입은 손과 옆구리를 보여주십니다. 부활하신 주님은 두려워 숨어 있는 제자들에게 먼저 찾아오시고, 용서와 평화를 전하셨습니다. 이것이 하나님의 소통입니다—먼저 다가오시는 사랑.
Even after His resurrection, Jesus came to the disciples and said, “Peace be with you,” showing them His wounded hands and side. The risen Lord approached His frightened disciples first and offered forgiveness and peace. This is divine communication—love that comes to us first.
하나님은 언제나 사람과 소통하시기를 원하십니다. 우리가 숨을 때에도, 실패했을 때에도, 어릴 때에도, 혼란스러울 때에도 하나님은 말씀하십니다. 그리고 성령님을 통해 지금도 우리 각자의 언어와 상황 속으로 들어오셔서 말씀하십니다.
God has always desired to communicate with people. Whether we are hiding, have failed, are young, or confused, He speaks. Through the Holy Spirit, He still enters each of our languages and situations and speaks today.
2. 성령님은 모든 세대에게 하나님의 비전을 품게 하십니다 (14–18절)
The Holy Spirit Fills Every Generation with God’s Vision
베드로는 성령 강림 사건을 요엘서의 예언으로 설명하며, 이제 하나님의 영이 모든 사람에게 부어졌음을 선포합니다. 이는 시대와 계층을 초월하여, 누구든지 하나님의 비전을 품고 살아가게 된다는 놀라운 선언입니다.
Peter explains the outpouring of the Spirit by quoting the prophecy from Joel, declaring that God’s Spirit has now been poured out on all people. This is a revolutionary proclamation: regardless of age or status, everyone can now live with God’s vision.
성령께서 임하시면 자녀는 예언하게 됩니다. 이는 미성숙해 보일지라도 하나님의 마음을 먼저 알고 전하는 자가 된다는 뜻입니다. 어린아이의 순수함에 성령이 임할 때, 오히려 깊은 영적 민감성과 선포의 능력이 나타납니다.
When the Spirit comes, sons and daughters will prophesy. This means that even the young—though seemingly immature—will know God’s heart and declare it. When the Spirit rests on childlike purity, deep spiritual sensitivity and bold proclamation emerge.
청년들은 환상을 봅니다. 성령은 청년들의 열정과 에너지를 하늘의 꿈과 연결시킵니다. 자기 야망이 아닌, 하나님의 뜻과 계획을 따라 사는 새로운 인생이 열리는 것입니다. 아브라함처럼 자기 꿈을 내려놓고 하나님의 언약을 붙든 인생으로 부르심을 받는 것입니다.
Young men will see visions. The Spirit channels youthful energy and passion toward God’s purposes. Life becomes about following divine vision, not personal ambition—like Abraham, who laid down his dream to cling to God’s covenant promise.
노인들은 꿈을 꿉니다. 성령은 인생의 황혼을 과거 정리로 마치게 하지 않으시고, 오히려 미래를 여는 새로운 사명을 주십니다. 모세는 80세에 부름을 받았고, 요한은 90세에 계시를 받았습니다. 성령은 늦은 나이에도 하나님의 꿈을 꾸게 하십니다.
Old men will dream dreams. The Spirit doesn’t let the twilight years of life be defined by closure, but by calling. Moses was called at 80, and John received divine revelation near 90. The Spirit empowers even the aged to dream new dreams from God.
성령님은 세대와 배경을 초월하여 모든 사람에게 하나님의 비전을 품게 하십니다. 내가 보기엔 부족하고 늦은 것 같아도, 성령 안에서는 언제나 ‘지금’이 하나님의 일이 시작되는 시간입니다.
The Holy Spirit transcends age, culture, and background, planting God’s vision in every heart. Even when we feel late or unqualified, in the Spirit, “now” is always the right time for God’s work to begin.
그러므로 우리는 나이나 환경을 핑계 삼지 말고, 성령의 인도하심에 귀 기울이며 하나님의 큰 꿈에 동참해야 합니다. 주님은 지금도 자녀에게, 청년에게, 노인에게 말씀하십니다: “너는 내 비전을 위해 쓰임 받을 수 있다.”
So let us not make excuses based on age or circumstance. Instead, let us listen to the Spirit’s leading and join in God’s greater dream. Even now, the Lord speaks to sons, daughters, young and old alike: “You can be used for My vision.”

William Wilberforce was a British Member of Parliament. After a personal encounter with Jesus Christ in his youth, he pursued not just political success but a vision of fulfilling God's will on earth. The one vision that burned in his heart was: the abolition of slavery.

At that time, Britain’s economy thrived on the slave trade. Opposing it meant risking his entire political career. Yet, led by the Holy Spirit, Wilberforce labored for over 20 years with fewer than 20 supporters, finally passing the Slave Trade Act in 1807.
그의 삶은 평탄하지 않았습니다. 병약한 몸, 수많은 조롱과 위협, 실패의 반복 속에서도 그는 “내 평생의 사명은 이 일을 이루는 것이다”라고 고백했습니다. 성령님은 그의 열정과 고난을 하나님의 비전으로 승화시키셨고, 결국 그의 죽음 직전에 영국의 노예제도 자체가 폐지되었습니다.
His journey was far from easy—poor health, mockery, threats, and repeated failures marked his life. Yet he confessed, “God Almighty has set before me two great objectives: the abolition of the slave trade and the reformation of manners.” Just before his death, slavery itself was abolished in Britain.

Wilberforce was a man who surrendered his youthful passion to the will of God through the Spirit. He lived out the Scripture: sons will prophesy, young men will see visions, and old men will dream dreams. God still changes the world through those who carry His vision.
3. 성령님은 우리에게 참된 구원을 확신하게 하십니다(19-24)
The Holy Spirit Assures Us of True Salvation
사도행전 2장 19–24절은 구원의 핵심을 선포합니다. 이는 단지 재난에서 벗어나는 피난처가 아니라, 하나님과의 끊어졌던 관계가 회복되는 사건, 곧 참된 구원입니다.
Acts 2:19–24 proclaims the core of salvation. It is not merely an escape from disaster, but the restoration of our broken relationship with God—this is true salvation.
베드로는 요엘서의 예언을 인용하여 “누구든지 주의 이름을 부르는 자는 구원을 받으리라”고 선포합니다. 여기서 ‘구원’은 단지 육체의 보호가 아니라, 영혼의 회복과 하나님의 자녀 됨을 의미합니다.
Peter quotes Joel’s prophecy, declaring, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Here, salvation is not only physical protection but signifies spiritual restoration and becoming a child of God.
베드로는 이어 예수님의 십자가와 부활을 말합니다. 예수님의 죽음은 우연한 비극이 아니라, 하나님의 예정된 계획이었고, 그 부활은 죄와 죽음을 이긴 하나님의 능력이었습니다.
Peter continues by speaking of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection. Jesus’ death was not a tragic accident, but God’s deliberate plan, and His resurrection was the power of God overcoming sin and death.
이 구원의 메시지를 우리에게 실제로 믿어지게 하시고, 가슴으로 받아들이게 하시는 분이 바로 성령님이십니다. 로마서 8:15은 “우리가 아빠, 아버지라 부르짖게 하신다”고 증언합니다.
The Holy Spirit is the one who enables us to truly believe this message and receive it with our hearts. Romans 8:15 says that we cry out, “Abba, Father,” by the Spirit we have received.

The Holy Spirit does not simply give us a “ticket to heaven.” He leads us now, from our sin, pain, fear, and loneliness, into the embrace of the Father. This is the present power of salvation.
오늘도 성령님은 우리 안에 말씀하십니다. “너는 내 아들이다, 내 딸이다. 나는 너를 버리지 않았다. 나는 지금도 너를 살리고 있다.” 구원은 먼 이야기가 아닙니다. 지금 여기, 성령 안에서 경험할 수 있는 하나님의 사랑의 역사입니다.
Even today, the Holy Spirit speaks within us: “You are My son, My daughter. I have not abandoned you. I am still giving you life.” Salvation is not a distant idea—it is God’s loving work, here and now, experienced in the Holy Spirit.
지금, 우리의 삶이 너무 벅차게 느껴질지도 모릅니다. 무엇을 해도 풀리지 않는 일들, 사람들의 말보다 더 날카로운 침묵, 혼자 견디는 고통이 너무 길어서, 우리 스스로조차 지치고 무너지고 있을지 모릅니다.
Right now, life may feel overwhelmingly heavy for us. Situations that don’t improve no matter what we do, and silences sharper than people’s words, The long pain we bear alone may have left us exhausted and on the verge of collapse, even to ourselves.
하지만 우리는 기억해야 합니다. 우리는 결코 버려진 존재가 아닙니다. 하나님은 우리의 이름을 아시고, 우리의 눈물을 기억하시며, 우리의 마음이 무너진 순간까지도 보고 계셨습니다.
But we must remember this: we are never abandoned. God knows our name, remembers our tears, and has seen even the moments when our hearts were breaking.
우리가 침묵 속에 울고 있을 때에도, 하나님은 우리를 잊지 않으셨습니다. 사람들이 몰라줘도, 하나님은 우리를 외면하지 않으십니다. 왜냐하면 우리는 그분이 사랑으로 지으신, 세상에 하나뿐인 귀한 존재이기 때문입니다.
Even when we cry in silence, God has not forgotten us. Even if others overlook us, God never turns away—because we are His precious creation, uniquely made in love.
하나님은 우리를 사랑하시며, 우리가 다시 일어나길 기다리고 계십니다. 우리의 아픔이 끝이 아니라, 회복의 시작이 되길 바라십니다. 그리고 지금도, 우리 곁에 계신 성령님이 조용히 말씀하십니다. “너는 나의 자녀다. 나는 너를 포기하지 않았다. 지금도 너를 붙들고 있다. 네가 얼마나 귀한 존재인지, 나는 단 한 번도 잊은 적이 없다.”
God loves us and is waiting for us to rise again. He desires that our pain would not be the end, but the beginning of healing. And even now, the Holy Spirit whispers beside us, “You are My child. I have not given up on you. I am still holding you. Not once have I forgotten how precious you are to Me.”
성령님은 바람처럼 오셨고, 불처럼 임하셨습니다. 그리고 지금도 우리의 삶 속에 말씀하고 계십니다. 우리의 언어로, 우리의 상황 속에서, 하나님의 사랑을 전하고 계십니다. 성령님은 우리와 소통하시고, 모든 세대에게 하나님의 꿈을 품게 하십니다. 또한 우리의 죄와 상처를 회복시켜 구원의 은혜를 누리게 하십니다.
The Holy Spirit came like the wind and rested like fire. Even now, He speaks into our lives—in our language, in our circumstances—declaring God’s love. The Holy Spirit communicates with us, instills God’s dream in every generation, and heals our sins and wounds so that we may enjoy the grace of salvation.
사랑하는 하나님 아버지, 오순절에 임하신 성령님을 찬양합니다.
Loving Father God, We praise the Holy Spirit who came upon us on Pentecost.
우리의 언어로 말씀하시고, 우리의 삶 속에 찾아오셔서 하나님의 큰 일을 알게 하심에 감사드립니다.

우리가 스스로를 이해하지 못할 때에도 성령님은 하나님의 사랑으로 우리를 깨우치십니다. 주님, 우리가 성령의 음성을 듣게 하시고 우리의 세대와 다음 세대가 하나님의 꿈을 품게 하소서.
Even when we do not understand ourselves, The Holy Spirit awakens us to God's love. Lord, help us to hear the voice of the Spirit So that our generation and the next may carry God's dream.
지금도 낙심한 영혼들 가운데 임하셔서 하나님과의 관계를 회복시키시고 잃어버린 자존감과 사랑받을 수 없는 마음을 치유하여 주소서.

우리가 하나님의 자녀임을 믿게 하시고, 다시 일어설 수 있도록 힘과 위로를 더하여 주소서. 오늘도 성령님과 동행하게 하소서.
Let us believe that we are children of God And give us the strength and comfort to rise again. Let us walk with the Holy Spirit today.
