교회소개(26: )미련한 자에게는 (영예)가 적당하지 아니하니 마치 여름에 눈 오는 것과 추수 때에 비 오는 것 같으니라
Like snow in summer or rain in harvest, (honor) is not fitting for a fool.
(26: )문짝이 (돌쩌귀)를 따라서 도는 것 같이 게으른 자는 침상에서 도느니라
As a door turns on (its hinges), so a sluggard turns on his bed.
(27: )너는 (내일) 일을 자랑하지 말라 하루 동안에 무슨 일이 일어날는지 네가 알 수 없음이니라
Do not boast about (tomorrow), for you do not know what a day may bring forth.
(27: )네 (양 떼의 형편)을 부지런히 살피며 네 소 떼에게 마음을 두라
Be sure you know (the condition of your flocks), give careful attention to your herds;
(28: )악인은 쫓아오는 자가 없어도 도망하나 (의인)은 사자 같이 담대하니라
The wicked man flees though no one pursues, but the (righteous) are as bold as a lion.
(28: )가난하여도 (성실하게 행하는) 자는 부유하면서 굽게 행하는 자보다 나으니라
Better a poor man whose (walk is blameless) than a rich man whose ways are perverse.
(28: )자기의 토지를 (경작하는) 자는 먹을 것이 많으려니와 방탕을 따르는 자는 궁핍함이 많으리라
He who (works) his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.
